But you have to start from somewhere... You can't just rely on NPPL or Millenium results as not enough brit teams have played the former, and last years millenium was all over the place...

Franchise would surely only be an option in a country like the states, or in a Euro-wide league, due to costs... but then the EXL fell on it's ass before anyone had a chance to spend any money on franchises...

I dunno - I'm sure some funky clever people will work it all out

Thats crap. The NPPL was played by the three best teams in the country. If other teams did not play regularly in the MS then they do not deserve to be in the same company as the top 8 teams in the UK. If it is an 8 team league, then the other 5 should be Kelly's, Campaign, Jags, Backlash and one other.

I kinda just presumed that shock, tigers and nexus would be in there anyway - I was referring more to the remaining places.

Well, I suppose if a new league is looking for teams who have already proved they're worthy and able to commit, it could easily include those guys you just mentioned... i imagine there would always be teams who are gonna feel like they deserve the place more than others...

I know you werent questioning the top 3 teams, I meant that if a team has not regularly played in the MS then they are not in the top 8 in the UK.

I know that you are referring to Storm, as they have not played much in the last year in the MS. Lets just cut to the chase, if there was a top 8, storm would not be in it as they have not played any events of any significance recently.

I would pick Nexus, Shock, Tigers, Jags, Kelly's, Campaign, Backlash and whoever is the next best team after the Kelly's up north as my top 8 if any league was to go ahead.
