Tom I dont think Macc should be counted as being South, anything south of brum land yes, but not Macc. I am always dragging people all over the county, getting the Yorkshire/Geordie boys to go as far south as Cornwall is easy, and thats a 8hour drive, getting anyone from below Watford to move anywhere is impossible. Its as simple as that

Cue the abuse.
Totally agree... 9 hour drive it was to the 5 man in Ashford. Normal tourney is about 4 hours away. Closest 2 and a half :)

Us Northerners seem to just accept we have to drive far to play. Yet we hear people complain about having driven a couple of hours to get to the PA!! It makes us laugh it does. I mean I think I'm driving far, but then you got people like the Keltics who probably have an other hour or two on top of my journey times :)

I like many in the North love paintball, but don't know how long I can cope with all the long drives and extra expense :( feel sorry for the peeps u here who have family to be honest, at least thats not a roblem for me yet!! :p

Yes it doesn all over scotland. But most concentrated in the Glasgow Edinburgh area. There is a small tourny scene in Carslie and alot of Rec ball sites in Scotland inc one sup air site near Edinburgh.

There is soon to be an indoor site in Scotland and we really wanna get the tourny scene up and running here.

We have travelled 9hrs down to Lord of the Blings 6 hrs down to Star wars. We are used to it, but ide love a Scottish tourny scene but atm scotland has lagged behind but that will change soon.

just wondering, where-abouts in the north would be a good area for a northern series of tourny's ,you would need it to be somewhere that is easy for all the teams to get to, thats if you had a fixed venue like the p.a league.

perhaps the manchester-preston area

Somewhere just north of or near the middle of the M62 corridor so it is close enough for both the east and west midlands teams to attend as well.
Huddersfield would be ideal ;)

The problem you will have is simple..........If you start another tourny series...who will come????

Do you expect teams to play this as well as what they would normally play??

There are plenty of series's to play(all south from the m62), if you start another you affect them all.

It would make more sense, if you ran a north and a south series, then after say 8 events had a grand final, with the winners from both competing for a U.K. title.

North could be Scotland down to the M62, and South M62 and below. Where your team comes from determins which you play in.
You would need site organisers to put forward their site's for the locations.

This make sense????

In Carslie they hold regular mini tourneys. I think there is a Sup air site in edinburgh. The new indoor site in Glasgow will be open next year, we are more than likely going to orginise a tourny there at somepoint.

I cant see people from the south travelling all the way up here when they have it all at thier fingertips.

More than likely just be an inter scotish tourny and hopefully more scottish players will move to tourny rather than play Rec ball with a marker 6 foot long.
