Fitness

Fitness is a fairly important part of the game. Last year i hurt my knee and couldn't workout for a while....now when i get intoa bunker all winded from the breakout and have to post on some guy for 3 minutes with my shooting shoebox (shocker)i get cramped, i am slower snap shooting, can't mug some fool as easily as i used to... the rest of the team is threatening to make me a back guy *sob* instead of a mid fielder....*sniff* i'm sorry i need to be alone for a while

Well, I guess since we are talkin about health and fitness injuries are part of that too. If you work out that is definately going to lessen your chances of getting hurt. I'm talkin sprained ankles and pulled muscles. No amount of exercise is going to stop the pain of a ball to your larynx. I've been fortunate enough never to step into a hole and sprain/break anything. Sucks for you Heimdahl, hope ot heals alright.

I would work out *ahem* If I got the chance. I just work too much (lets hear your Ahhhhhh's),

Soon I will have my evenings free so I can take up my old sporting events, The Pub Quiz, Sprint to the bar..........

In truth, I can start swimming and Ice Skating again. (swimming is the best all round exercise if you don't have the time to run, pump weights and become a Pale version of the incredible hulk)

The other week I played, and no-one was more or less fit on either side than the other but the team who communicated and played well as a team won........go figure.

Hmm Micha's still in highschool? I always thought you were like 30-40, I don't really know why.

As for working out, I never have really. But I am a front player and a damn fast one at that. I guess I am active though, *ride a bike a lot.* It aslo helps to eat right - stay away from the McDonalds sort, eat plenty of burritos! Only get drunk on the weekends, after the practice/game of course.

ANd try pouding a few beers then sprint, see what happens :D :D :D

After returning tonight from an all ages show Featuring The last best thing, Gob, and Sum 41, at the Glass house here in so-cal I have realized the ultimate in front/mid player work outs. The mosh pit. After a few hours in teh mosh pit, hoisting up little hottie teenage girls and crowd surfing, I am more tired than after a day of paintball. Plus I got the benifit of haveing little hotties all over me all night. Longlive the punk show!

I'm so tired I can't believe I can actually type this.

QS ... Thanks ... I think ...

You know, I never understood a thing about mosh pits. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the hard bands like Tool, Ramstein, etc., but I wouldn't go in a mosh pit. If someone hit me, I get violent. I wouldn't just be like, "YEAH!!! ROCK ON!!" Don't get it one bit, except for passing the girls around. That's cool.

You see Phoenix the MOSH pit is suppposed to be an aggressive controled chaos. Well back in the day the MOSH pit had a "Unwriten Code." Kinda like bash bash bash but No Fist and what not. Well it's when those people broke that code the Fist start Flying. MOSH pits in today's standard keep me away most of the time. But me being the Adreneline Junkie that I am get in anways. Back in the Early 80's Punk Rock shows ruled with the few exceptions where the "Suicidal Tendicies" Gang would show up and take the fun out of everything. Oh sorry I was rambling on!

Yeah, I know what you are saying. Young'uns have a tendencies to ruin what we think is "just fine." I walk around my 18 year old classmates here and go "oh god, these people are going to be in charge of my old enlisted friends." Then I smile when I know a Chief will rip a butter bar a new one.
