i think it depends on your self-confidence. i like to look kinda "cool" i feel better then, but if it reaaly helps my game...dont know...not any more i guess. if i get some new part of gear and it looks cool, it makes me happy and that makes me feel better for that day or maybe a couple of days but that goes away pretty fast(oh world of consume*g*).

Wether it helps a players individual skills at all is questionable, but I can tell you it REALLY helps the team as a whole. It gave my school team a lot of confidence when we first got our team jerseys, it helped us realize we were on the same side. It might not help your personal skills much if your covered in Dye apparel and shooting the latest electro gadget, but it really helps when the 10 second whistle blows right before the break, and you look and see all of that gear in the hands of your teamates.

Since a whole shed load of players are "All the gear no idea", I'd treat em all the same. Shoot em all let the Ultimates sort em out.

Fear the player with the Sterling pump at a Sup Air Touney is what I say. It may turn out to be Rancid...........
