Sorry but I have to disagree...
Without The Image I believe your skills dont get noticed. If you see somebody going onto a field with crap gear etc You probably wouldnt even bother watching them but then again if you see somebody with all the latest gear going on and they just down right look cool (a bit like me ) then you will watch them and notice their skill...
So sorry but Image is everything then Skill
Why seek validation in the opinions of others? As long as you know you're good, and get the eliminations and flag-hangs to back up that assertion, then why worry about being seen?
Always watch out for the guy in the crap gear... he might he the one who bunkers you while you're happily ignoring him
