Sorry Marco, but I don't get how that would help, effectively you are suggesting the no show team be awarded 6 match points for the event (2 x 3 prelim games), match points that could prove very useful for them in count back for the overall rankings.
I agree again, but the point Freddie is raising shows the need to not hand straight maxes to the teams who would have played the no show squad.

If you are in a full group and have to FIGHT for every single point is it fair for teams in a group with a no show to be handed a match win and the full 4 game points with no effort.

However lets look at this another way, a team pays it's entry to PLAY PAINTBALL. Getting handed a bye in the prelims could easily lower the number of games you play to just two matches or if more than one team fail to show only one match ( but at least in this case you will make the cut ).

It's not an easy one and no matter what method is used some will benefit and some will not.

Laters :)

Letting team ref for points is like letting crackheads give head for drugs.

Teams that cant keep rostered throughout a season are clearly not ready for Div 1.

Playing a higher division is not only a skill difference, but a difference in commitment.

Its a preparation for the next div. Some teams were not ready. They should have been in Division 2. End Of.

BTW I dont know what matches Amac was watching but all year they have been checking the first 5 guns on the field for FPS and ROF, plus random checks before other points.

It would have been a good few times just at the Paris event that there were guns that where shooting over the max BPS chrono refs couldn't be bothered and players went on the field, I know things like this are tighter in D1 but for the divisions below not so much. The point of this out was to allude to the problem in having rotating refs which lack the consistency through out the year on making the correct calls.

Welcome to the Millennium Series :) have a nice stay! :p
I understand where Freddie is coming from, and those like Freddie can laugh at Bolter's remark above. There does seem a sense of injustice about it all but who is to blame? I'm gonna agree with the posts below...

And finally, apart from some stabbing remarks ;) I agreed with this...

take it up with the board and stop slating the teams who indeed I have no affiliation with but can say with high certainty they entered the season with the best of intentions.
I think this MUST be highlighted to the Millennium organisers, but who is going too?

I would just like to add, it is quite embarassing that the no show teams were British :( it just demonstrates the commitment problems we have with British paintball.

These are opinions of my own Not my team

Oh but this HAS indeed been raised with some of the board members - both in Paris and afterwards !!!!!

Sadly enough not many teams actually cares about this and truly want to do something about it, so nothing will change - neither the teams´ nor the millennium series attitude about this !

If that's the case it is a real shame as nothing will change. If nothing comes of the ranking decision they must atleast rethink the 'strictness' of the roster lock rules. I have heard that this has caused real problems for the no show teams

The thing is in the lower divisions, its very likely that none of the player's have access to the correct tools to accurately keep their BPS below the legal max. As you may know, there can be variation on what the BPS is set at and what it shoots at, such as being set at 12 BPS and shooting 12.3 etc etc....If you really think lower divisions should be penalized for that...wow.

And I talked to several refs who banned people for having illegal BPS caps, so I wouldn't say the refs couldn't be bothered. How many times have you went to pay for something to be 10p short and the shopkeeper let you go?
