The draw seems different compared to Tampa, at least for Division II teams. In Tampa the high ranked Div 2 teams played the lower ranked/unranked Pro teams. In Denver the high ranked Div 2 teams play the high ranked Pro teams. Either way it wouldn't matter, since it's between playing Dynasty/Avalanche/XSV/Dogs/Arsenal/Infamous or Oakland/LA/Shock. Does anyone else see a difference in the scheduling compared to Tampa?

Best of luck to everyone and have a safe trip.

You have to wonder if all the (not) NXL teams entering the tournament skewed the seeding. Based on normal seeding procedures, teams that have played in the tournament (Icemen, OC, TripleTap) would be ranked higher than teams that have never played Super7s (AssassiMen, Shock, Da Men). You end up with an inverted bell curve, with some of the weaker teams actually in the middle of the seeding and strong teams at the top and bottom.

Yup, that's exactly what happened, based on looking at the draw Ironmen, The Men and Shock were placed in the seeding at the end in alpha order.

We would of expected to play 1 of those 3 teams since we played an unranked team in Tampa and our overall ranking is still the same, but that is not the case.

Shamu is on the money, thats exactly what happened. Normal seeding procedures have been applied, which I am sure is the only viable option available to the NPPL without squeals of 'conspiracy'. Where IS Baca Loco today anyway....

Robbo, I will use my influence to arrange your bracket in Denver, just let me know the teams you would like to play instead and I will take care of it. Can't believe you didn't ask me to do this before.... (winking smiley face)

Oh, and Sean, is that you?

Nothing here worth remarking on except that once again a goofy cross-mix draw will doom some teams and give others a nearly free pass.
Isn't it about time the archaic practice of mixing divisions was finally tossed in the trash heap o' history where it belongs?
Y'all know it's gonna happen eventually so why not sooner rather than later?

I'm reasonably sure that isn't Sean.
