I don't think it has anything to do with the lack of coverage in Pomona. There just wasn't any plan to do the regular season. They would have known soon after the airing in December, if they didn't already, if they were going to tape the full regular season or not.

If NXL folds, that would be great for PSP - get to see all the Pro teams in the same Pro division again. And they'd get their field back.

And it's not 1995 - we're short a few doors on the field.

It also has to do with a more viable alternative which has none of the above issues.

Wonder if this "viable alternative" could be that new indoor league Doc (from Doc's Raiders) is involved with.....

I seriously doubt it would have anything to do with what Doc from Docs Raiders is involved with......

The only thing worse than having Doc involved would be having Jerry Braun involved. Actually after Braun I suppose Doc would look good to the TV guys. Worrying thought!

And if its 1995 all over again can I have my memory back? I pretty sure thats where I finally lost it.

If youse referring to Rage in the Cage 3-man (which Docs is playing) they have a done deal with WGN which is already being shown. Currently 5 episodes (I think) are introducing the game and concept with league play to be broadcast primarily during the baseball off season.
Beyond being a franchised team tho I don't think Doc has any direct involvement.

Anybody else find it terribly amusing that the only place to see X-Ball on TV is now in the COLLEGE league?
Cruelly ironic perhaps particularly as the college squads tend to make even Xball look dull.

(ps--sorry kids, no offense intended to college teams but, well...)

That's a pretty strong statement if you watch ESPN. Guess we'll have to see how it turns out, if it shows up on a channel anyone actually gets.

Not at all. There's a difference between what actually happens during an NXL match and what the Gardners' vanity project captured on film. And if you've watched the college teams play Xball in the past there is little excitement there to be captured.

So hang on, hang on...We get a "hot topic" with some juicy goss...Within 24-48 hours all the sites are saying pretty much the same thing (At the rumour level at least), and then the topic goes dead!

C'mon man...More information. I'm sure the powers that be have had time to let everyone know that needs to know...:D

Well, really nothing changes, now, does it? It means that the status quo is maintained, as far as DCP and TV and the NXL. It is only the hope for some convergence of acronyms in the future that is gone.
