We have heard from 2 different sources that the NXL TV deal, at least with Dick Clarke, is dead...we'll hopefully get something in the news once we talk to a few more people.

People can pay attention to my 'nonsense' or not, it's thier choice Loco. I only want to have a bit of fun with people.

The info I have is good, but if I explained it, including sources, on a public forum, I would over-extending myself to the point where boats would be rocked.

I will give you this:

Beau Carson is no longer with DCP.
He is trying to put a TV deal together with his own company now.
DCP has a new representative.
He is also talking about a TV deal for paintball.
These 2 guys hate each other and spend most of thier time spitting poisonous bile about each other.
They only agree on one thing.
That thing is that DCP will not be doing anything with the NXL.
Reasons include personal differences with 3 of the people involved on the NXL end, together with the overall unorganised and unprofessional state of the league. It also has to do with a more viable alternative which has none of the above issues.

Thing is, the players were never going to be paid. They were never slated to benefit, in fact benefit to them would have been entirely incidental, brought about by members of the NXL overlooking an aspect that they could have made money out of. The deals offered were nothing like they were built up to be, they were pitifully weak and I must commend the NXL on the amazing marketing job they did. There hasn't been a marketing job like this since the bible was written.

I am unwilling to say more on here. If you e-mail me I'll tell you though, as I believe you would find the info interesting, especially given your strong ties to an NXL team. Suggest your lads play Tampa.

As for the masses, they will no doubt be fed carefully worded press releases by all parties involved, non of which will answer the questions I am sure you would all like asked.

'Nonsense' over.

Nah, nah, na-nah, nah--made you answer. :p

Marketing job? The NXL? You're undermining your credibility there, ITN.

No need but I appreciate it.

Somebody hasn't looked a the list lately. We's been on there for days.

Am currently working on a View about the NXL entitled, 'Is only Dick Clark on life-support?' (Although Ant may change it as unnecessarily provacative.)
