Yep, you heard it here first.
Now those that don't believe me can go do thier own digging, but you can take it to the bank, so I wouldn't waste your time.

And before anyone says it, no, I don't think it's good news, but its definitely news....

 Didn't see that one coming following the success of the broadcast.

Can someone clarify for me, is ESPN part of DCP, or did DCP prodce the show and ESPN air it? If the latter, is there any chance that ESPN might still be interested in airing the NXL but produced by someone else?

I wonder whether the Millenium will change its mind (Again  ) about running the EXL next season? Seems their hopping out of bed with the NPPL, and in to bed with the PSP was pretty sharply after the success of the broadcast and apparently iminant tv money.

Dick Clark paid ESPN for the air time. Basically a glorified infomertial.

ESPN has offered to put paintball other than NXL on TV.

I have a problem posting this whole thing on the board. I think the NXL players and owners, should be informed first and it would be disrespectful to start bantering about thier futures on a public forum before they have heard the news themselves (although they should all have been told by now as there has been plenty of time)

People I feel sorry for (in order)

Sergei
The Russian Players
Trauma
All other NXL players who do not have a foot in the NPPL
Nick Brollydwarf (because he was such a believer and his heart must be breaking right now...)
Keely Watson - What a time to take a job in Paintball!

Who narced to the big mouth?

C'mon, ITN, time to back your play. This is so juicy you don't want it to be like your usual run of nonsense nobody pays attention to anymore, do you? And if the teams should have heard by now what's the harm? And besides, it's newsworthy, isn't it? So when did you start worrying about peeps feelings?

Should the NXL implode of its own stupidity what bearing does that have on Xball anyway? Orlando has a 170 teams signed on now including 72 Xball teams and as you've said before, nobody watches the NXL anyway, so what does it matter except to free up the format and the best teams currently playing that format?
