Justin, I'm glad you started this thread, I was curious if something like this would pop up from someone. First off, I'm very sorry everyone, I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm not trying to spoil your fun, I'm not on some sort of power trip, in fact, I REALLY hate deleting fun threads. I'm just like you guys, there are a lot of people from here that I talk to off the forum about all sorts of non-paintball stuff, and I love the banter between you guys about anything, the problem is, I'm supposed to be keeping the threads on my part of the forum atleast somewhat paintball related. Most of you remember the big row nearly a year ago about people basically using the forum as a chat-room, and at that same time there was also a rash of silly threads, so much so that 'Brains really didn't seem to have anything to do with paintball at all, it was just a players' lounge of sorts. During that time I was still on the Newbie forum, so it didn't really have much to do with myself. Then, very soon after the last moderator shuffle, we had a similar ordeal that ended up being handled in a much more strict manner. You guys remember giving Cow a hard time for kicking so much stuff out of the Tourney forum? That was the clean-up, the moderators and the people were given our guidelines, and it was an uncomfortable change at first, but things settled down, everyone got in the groove, and it's been pretty smooth for a bit. All of the forums had their basic guidelines stuck at the top, and perhaps we should've left them up. I'm still interested in everyones' opinions, but I do think there's merit in keeping the boards full of paintball. There's not much for me to say that hasn't been said, it's a bit too close to bed-time for me to put much more together. I'll be looking forward to all the replies tomorrow.

Perhaps a "Free For All" Forum is in order then? A "Players Lounge" perhaps?

i agree that the topic of the thread should reflect the title of the board but the popularity of the 'rubbish' threads may suggest that paintballers occasionally feel the need to chat to one another about non-paintball related topics...even rubbish! Maybe another board entitled 'Sweet FA to do with Paintball' should be put on the p8ntballer forums so all chatty type threads could be posted there keeping the others purely paintball related. Maybe do a poll asking members if this is wanted or not?
