unique designs and dont publish, just give teams the field layouts on the thursday will make it more interesting

or sell them a week b4 the event and make a small profit

my vote is new design, specific for Campaign and only sent via email to the Euro teams to give us a field advantage for a change! i am sure that the US teams can make up for their lack of field knowledge with their increased skillz and general XBall knowledge!

seriously though i think the EXL and Open XBall should always have unique field setups so as to allow all to train for the same period of time on the same field. at the moment the US get weeks of training and also a whole tournament to learn the field layout.

what two teams are signed up for open X ????

Have a unique pre released field. but I wouldnt bother changing it for the legion/ philli game, they're just going to mow everyone anyway.....

I'm with you on that one...... but would like to see a new design for the RL Philly game. The Russkies have probably played every possible and imaginable layout anyway......

I wouldn't pre release the field. Would be exciting to see how quickly the different teams adapt their game plans. But thats from a spectators point of view.

Make a new design or use an old design, but not the last one used in NXL.
Release it as soon the design is decided on.

i quite liked the way the xball field was choosen at last years cc

put a 3 designs up on here and take a vote.....but this time dont anounce the winner till the day before the tournie
that way everyone has seen the field but aint sure which one will be in use

Just to add to what Peachie said (all good points btw)

The field layouts will probably be the best you've ever played, you're going to be in total awe of the setups. Have a look at pictures from other Millennium Events, as the fields will be similar... but not exactly the same.

All bottles will be filled, as long as they are in test, this included DOT bottles. But they have to be in test.

You'll be playing either friday morning/sat afternoon; or fri aftenoon/ sat morning, but hang around and watch the games. Both the EXL and Open X-ball have the big hitters so you may want to grab a beer and park in the stands. If you want to watch some 7 man ball, then i suggest that you get the schedule and pick the games you want to watch.
Hot Picks in the 7 man are any Div 1 double headers, Hellwood, Conselium Dei, Scalp, Vision, Allstars....



Finally on Field walking day please come on out and watch 'Fight Night' staring the NXL champs from 2003, the ALL Americans (and a handfull of the dudes from Trauma) against the Killer Robots from the Russian Legion, (and show your support for Britian's own Dan Sanchez Maskell).

You're going to see some of the most insane paintball ever, we have a lot of killer team, and they're all going to be going for it.

The question of the Legion and Philly playing on the field before the event causes two problems:
One, it gives both teams an unfair advantage (although any enterpising Open X-ball or EXL team would be studdying these matches like a hawk)
Second, it's against the X-ball rules.

The only way we can go ahead with the same layout is to have every Open X-ball team, and Every EXL team agree to have the same field design.

It's probably easier (and less controversial) to simply change the field layout.


As far as i'm concerned, i'll gladly whip up a few fields if the EXL and open X-ball teams want, and we can have a vote here on Paintballer... But that's down to the teams to discuss privatly with Steve Morris and co.


Here's another question, can we have different open X-ball fields to the EXL fields?
