I'm going to drag the thread back to Brown Wings1's original question. You can expect 10 games split between 2 half days, e.g. 5 Friday morning and 5 Saturday afternoon or vice versa (though you might get 6 & 4). The staging area is likely to be entry by pass only for security reasons, and there will be more trade stands than you've ever seen in one place before.

The atmosphere is usually fantastic, and the majority of the games are hard. If you've never played at an international before, expect to see more paint flying than you thought possible in some games, especially if you watch the Xball. Despite being the biggest tournament in the UK and one of the best in the world, all the players are still as friendly and helpful as they are at most domestic events. There is usually a photographer who develops the photos there and then, so by Sunday you can buy framed piccys of yourself.

Campaign is awsome and amazing if you've only played domestic up until now :)

Its definitely worth getting excited about already. We've seen a huge improvement in the professionalism of local and regional tournaments over the last two years but Campaign is certainly the daddy.

Does anyone know how far in advance the field layouts will be available?

here's a couple of tips to help you out.

1. get there and registered as early as possible so that you don't feel rushed walking the fields. Millenium field layouts are normally more complex than local venues and there are more fields than at local tourney's as well.

2. Take loads of bottled water and snacks as they are very expensive on site and it takes too much time to get them between games.

3. Ensure your air system is within test date and is of correct type(they are really hot on this)

4. Play for points. The cut for the sunday club is always pretty close.

5. try and get the most out of it. Watch as many good teams play as possible. Talk to people-everyone is really friendly.

good luck and see you there
