It wasnt french teams that were reffing at Camp, it was the french federations 'pro' reffing staff. And they deffinately had a thing against foreigners

This so called french pro ref lot were the relief marshalls at toulouse last year and caused a few problems then but not at the scale it is at the moment.........maybe they have been training to get to the stage they are at the moment.
Also at toulouse last year the UK marshalls were praised for their unbiased and enthusiastic role on the field, but that is what the UK paintball scene is all about, being fair and having fun, as much as i hate to say this i can see a tic for tac coming on........but two wrongs dont make a right.
Its down to the organisers to stamp this out, but it seems very silent from the powers that be:(

The Dam

We are marshaling the Dam and will not be biased towards anyone, but the problem I can already see we are going to have is if a UK team beats a french team on our field then all of a sudden WE will be the biased one's.

are the french pro refs, players that became refs? or did they just train to become pro refs?

with games lasting only 2-3 mins, well then im glad im not a ref.

so anyway give the pro refs some markers and give them 3 mins of fun. see how they like decisions against them.

When a marshall stands 3 meters away looking at you and you feel that your neck is hit (with neck protector on) you go out or you ask for a paintcheck? I dont know how you do it but I have the feeling most of the people would ask for a check and if the ball broke head for a deadbox. Nothing illegal in that !!!

This implies that if you just feel a hit on the neck you should call yourself out??

If the ball burst - then fine - if it hasnt then you've saved the marshal time doing his job and a 1-4-1 for your team for calling a check on a potential hit in the self check zone.

Its all a load of c@#k if common sense doesnt prevail.

We got a 1-4-1 in Vegas for a player spinning on an Avalanche player - the hit had just clipped the top of one of his pots as the mugger ran past - how can a player know hes been hit in those circumstances?? No common sense.

Getting hit in the neck is a little more clear cut as you have reason to believe that it could have broke - but everyone would ask for a check - 100 times out of 100.

The rules need revisiting - Mill' Players Association task??

STOP for a moment lads!!!

Camp wasn't judged by Milleneum rules. Camp was judged by French rules!!!! Dont make the mistake to automatically assume its the same because it isn't!

Oh and some more funny:

Apparently the refs had problems with english "10 seconds" and "one for one" is not present in their vocabulary. :)
