Would a boycott work?

Well yes and no, yes obviously if everyone did it. But more likely no..

If every baller said to the company they normally buy from, I'm not buying anything from you as long as you stock SP then yes eventually that would filter through. The downside of this is that in this country it isn't going to hurt Smart Parts it's going to effect SmartpartsEurope, which aint exactly fair on those guys, but then on the flipside, it aint exactly fair for the guys at OTE, JMJ, Destructive customs and of course AKA......

Also considering that I distribute AKA gear it probably aint in the best humour to laugh about it to me SPE.....

Paul.

they are wrong to have sat on the patent this long and then start on everyone out of the blue, long after the other markers went on sale

clearly trying to wipe out the competition

I remember when this talk about patents and lawsuits started years ago, it was said that Smart Parts indeed warned other manufacturers that they have a patent pending. So I don't think it is that easy to blame SP for everything.

Indeed but that was for the specific design before they broadened it to include evrything that uses electricity......

Respect to Den for answering all of his critics with sensible, measured and objective responses. It takes a brave man to post anything on these forums other than 'team x are n00bs and my gun rocks'. It tires me when so many posters resort to personal jibes when they disagree with a comment rather than discuss it. I for one decided not to buy SP gear several years ago after the dreadful performance, build quality and after sales service that came with my '99 Shocker. I eased off on my embargo when I bought a Freak System with my Eblade in 2002 but their recent activities have angered and disappointed me. I, like Den, will be exercising my right as a consumer by no longer buying their products regardless of the knee-jerk splutterings of so many posters. It may not bring down SP or change halt their legal proceedings but my conscience will be clear.
