on the old ETek the asa pin can fall out when you take off your air tank
Check the pin hasn't fallen out of the ASA take the tank off and have a look .it's the pin that pushs in to the air tank i think it looks like a star

Are you sure there's air in your bottle (the gauge on the reg may be faulty, i've had one that read a 1000 psi when empty).

Hi Will, That Etek is or has been a Fantastic gun, that gun was spot on on Sunday,
I suspect the same as Frenchy ... Put a new battery in it, and only buy Duracell. make sure you put it the right way round ??

Ok, first off regarding my tank: i have a spare gun, ive used the air on that but its abit dodgy, not consistant shots. it might be down to the tank being weird because its new, as it worked fine before on another tank. I put a new battery in it, but it wasnt a duracell one, and it still didnt go, im guessing its either the battery is on its last legs, but still going, or the tank is new and still needs some breaking in?i havnt touched the workings of the gun, nothing dropped out of it.

Have you adjusted the trigger to within an inch of its life? (most people do this)

Im not certain how a PE trigger works, but if you try to make the trigger pull too fine, too nice, it might be possible you over adjusted it, and now it wont fire? Just an idea.

Also, there is no worldly reason for you to dry fire your marker. Always test with paint. If this means not testing at home, and waiting till you get to a field, then thats how it should be. Plus it makes you look like a noob :)

If it is second hand, the trigger may have been pre fiddled with, which sounds like a police charge! If it is adjusted really close to the activation point, it may wind just past it over time, hence firing one day and not firing the next. Just an idea, might be way off the mark :)

anyone help with trigger activation on a pe gun? Is it a microswitch?
