Ok. Im another - i do not support the BNP in any way and would not vote for them but i do want to move it away from the racist issue for a slight moment, seeing as they are a party that is not just about such an issue. There are 2 policies that i for one would be right behind!
TRANSPORT – time to invest!
Increased investment is needed in Britain’s public transport system to bring it up to the highest standards in the world. The fiasco of rail privatisation with different companies running services and track leading to higher fares and lower safety also needs to be resolved. Congestion of our towns and cities must be eased by the provision of greater incentives to use rail and bus transport instead of private cars. The first step is to end the crime and squalor that puts so many people off public transport. Motorists must not be made the scapegoats for government failure. Fuel tax should be cut, motorway speed limits raised, and hidden speed cameras should be banned. Far more must be done to encourage the development and use of cleaner fuels.
PENSIONERS – pensioners before asylum seekers!
The conditions in which many of Britain’s old people are forced to live are a national disgrace. We are pledged to ensure that all our old folk are able to live in comfortable homes, and will restore the earnings link with pensions. Elderly people who have paid a lifetime of taxes and reared families should not have to sell their homes to pay for care.
However that is the limit! If we look at their defence policy they plan to pull out of NATO, close all foreign military bases in the UK - i.e. american ones - without which i for one believe we would be screwed if it ever came to such events where they have been placed there for - that made no sense im sure but i know what i mean!
They want to withdraw from the EU. While this could prove beneficial in several areas there are many strong arguments as to why we shouldnt! The main being trading - they aim to combat this by restoring old trading links with australia etc however surely this means goods have to travel further which means increased travel cost so an increased higher price of the final product for the consumer. They also aim to make britain more self sufficient, almost to an extent where we dont need any trade at all, the problem here is business has been moved so far away from being self sufficient it would take years to restore and britain could become fully sustained. We need the EU whether we like it or not.
Democracy - While their ideas may seem like a good idea in paper, and as much as i dislike the current elitest system, do we really want the really really uneducated, thick as **** scum that exists to stupid levels in this country to really make decisions on capital punishment etc
That leads us on nicely to Law and Order. They want to bring back capital punishment for, and i quote, "pedophiles, terrorists and murderers as an option for judges in cases where their guilt is proven beyond dispute, as by DNA evidence or being caught red-handed." Now at first i thought yes! brilliant idea, i am all for capital punishment in some cases, but thats cos im rash and certain things make me want to kill people like that myself! However, in my own honest opinon, pedophiles, while throughly disgusting, sick and wrong, are mentally ill, whether this is a scientific fact i dont know, i cba to look it up so if anyone wants to correct me feel free. They shouldn't be killed, they shouldnt be put in prison cos they will be ripped to shreds, they should be locked away in a mental home, of course this is only based on my assumption that its a mental problem! Terrorists is a tricky one, most of them have already killed themselves and many others and so cannot really be punished for their crimes, in cases where terrorism is suspected then what do we do? there has to be bloody good evidence, look at the de mendez case or whatever he was called, the bnp will argue that he was an illegal immigrant and therefore doesnt matter, but that is another matter all together!
