Beak: I get ya now bro (how did you get so clued up???you must be on performance enhancing drugs, hehe), the Halo is basically a copied and fine tuned version of BE's existing ideas, therefore there is no new idea or product of their own, so to speak. Oooo, they're in trouble. I reckon if BE take it they'll just look at the Halo and release a new VL with similar advancements. Perhaps.
Patents?? I think a patent only lasts around a year or 2. I remember reading about the dude DYSON and how he spent bucket loads of cash maintaining the patent on the cyclone thing until he could actually afford to copyright and trademark the package and get a manufacturer on board. Patent pending means jack shiz other than 'we are in the process of getting a patent dude', or 'I hope you don't nick our idea coz we can't afford a patent'.
