I loved Santa's little helpers giving out minced pies and mulled wine at the last game of each year.
Don't worry, I think we're all with you on that one.
The only critisism i would offer, and it is a slight one, is that they use the same jokes every time in the marshal brief. The briefs are very good, they explain the rules and safety clearly and I have been to places that have not been as thorough as NPF. Taking groups there several times a term I think i know it off by heart now.
The one about the de-misting spray and the contact lenses.

I don't have to worry about that anymore, I am an own-gunner now (Although I have sat through my fair share of talks renting) so I get to miss the talk and get to work setting my marker up.
It is true about the recycles jokes, every marshal has their own stand up routine/safty talk. Add some humour and a bit of seriouness and an important message gets across alot better.
