Player oriented problems are not trivial, if you have that attitude then you will find yourself organising tournies for yourself with no players in attendance. one reason why the Euro tournie scene is so much better is because players concerns are not trivialised. Take a leaf out of Niall's book and put the players first and they won't feel the need to bitch about you.

Thought for the thread "Turdis's do not good toilets make"
You misunderstand me - I'm not saying that player's problems are trivial - just that the ones being complained about were trivial to the advancement of the sport. If *ANYONE* is sensitive to the needs of the player, it's me, as as far as I know, I'm currently the only event promoter in the industry who can actually be voted out by the players (and the only one who was voted in for that matter).

But our players also understand that things like how many press releases they and we send out before and after the event are much more important than where they pee.

As for Huntington Beach, I will not likely be there due to the real job, which is unfortunate, as it's looking like this is shaping up to be a very sweet event. I know there's bitching about sand, but even if the fields are on sand, once again I'll say that it's just some players trying to exagerate the significance of their problems. Sand playing surface pales in significance (As far as sport advancement goes) to bringing in out-of-industry advertisers and getting us in front of a non-paintball crowd. Props to Chuck for keeping the right priorities.
