So you have a sling from your left hand to the front of the gun right? Im assuming you make it tort (sp?) and then rest your hand on the gun so it helps keep it steady, right?

Yeah you asjust teh sling and hand stop position, so it hold teh gun in front of you and dont pull to one side or teh other...and just rests on your gloved hand...takes most of teh weight...so your right hand is free to operate teh gun...load ammo etc...
well when they invent a rifle that can hunt my scrawny ass down... (your gunna need that needle head shooting dude) then ill relenquish the title of sniper beater! 
You can get Thermal Scopes that can see through walls etc, so..wherever you hide...your dead...assuming your heat can be seen...
Well yes you could (dont ever do it kids!)...but then, it wouldnt be long before teh Sniper didnt need to find you , now would it?
Well...Thermal Scopes..gives a multi coloured image, showing hot areas...you can also get infra red scopes, which give you a grey scale image, but I am not sure if they can see through walls.
But, having seen through teh wall...you need something punchy at close range to shoot through teh wall.
UNless say, its a window, with curtains concealing teh view...or a thin thermalite wall or similar....i dont think many .308 or .338 rounds could go through a wall properly..unless they were armour piercing.
Your looking at .50 BMG for anything at reasonable range or the Cheytac, which despite being smaller, actually has better AP qualities than even AP specific 50BMG rounds....giving full penetration and then some on 1/2 inch armour plate at 600 yards...but they do do AP specific Cheytac rounds...which are even better.
