No. I've said that Estratego Spain is quite independent from Estratego Portugal / Pedro. Of course Pedro has some involvement with them: they are partners.

Your statement contradicts itself, how can Estratego Spain be independant of Pedro if Pedro is a partner in it ?

My point here is this, Pedro has proved he is not fit to run a Millennium event again and as such, he should have absolutely NO involvement with any future promotions for the Millennium...No Argument !

According to Laurent's post he will not have more chances..

So the first Milleneum will be elsewhere in 2004 the question is where? (a warm place would be fiine)

Oh no, not Mallorca! How on earth are we ever going to get people interested in playing there?
Given some talk that has been circulating lately, it somehow doesn't surprise me that Portugal will lose it's leg...

Should lose its frikkin arms as well :)

"Its elementary" As Mr Holmes would say!

Silly me and the lack of derivative thinking before lunch! :)

That would mean that Manfred will pull 2 events next year? Or it will be Laurents second show?

Well before we go and lynch them I think the only fair thing would be to postprone "The Judgement" when the whole thing is done.

As much as I would love to verbal kung-fu over this we gotta give Laurent & co time, they did it well in the past and we loved it....

As for S7 coming here I think noone really grasps the magnitude of that work and they would start form scratch!!!

Peace

Neither, I think Niall may well be manoeuvring in that department !
In itself, this is not such a bad thing since there is now one less maverick on board and Niall is able to impose on the first event the same standard as Campaign.
So if over time, the incompetent and blatantly self-interested promoters are weeded out leaving the best to promote the six events, no matter how many are actually left, this I don't see as a problem as long as there is some accountability to the players and industry along the lines of a European players federation completely independent of the Millennium.
That way, the Euros get a high quality tournament series that Laurent / Niall, Magued and Manfred have all shown they can do...and they don't get too far up their own ass without having the federation pulling them back on the reins.
I don’t give two sh#ts how much money they earn but don’t take me for some sort of mug and give us all a series that at the very least respects the players and vendors and is value for money.
