Okay, I'll see what I can do about putting up that post again, although I think it'll be easier if you copy and paste the words to a new thread. I removed it because I thought you had hit the wrong button (I saw the new thread after I read the same thing as a reply, hence the conclusion I came to).

PS It's true, we had the friday morning shift.

Sorry, I ain't that clued up on these forums yet, it would be good to seperate the threads, have your "heads up" one, and start a new Mayhem good or bad one with these posts in it, I'm sure a lot of people want to air there views, and they probably wouldn't read the "heads up" thread...

Debate is good

To quote my friend Justin Owens, it's all good...tha people in charge of tha Millennium read every word on these boards, so fill em with constructive criticism...for what it's worth, tha powers that be in tha Millennium know there were some serious shortcomings at this events and will be rectifying them.

Is that a consolation after some of y'all have spent hard-earned $$$s only to be disappointed?
No.

Is it tha truth?
Yep.

It IS difficult to vote with your feet when tha Millennium is tha best game in town - but tha Millennium commitee ain't resting on their laurels, they are trying to improve and we WILL see changes - including the disciplinary committee getting a roll on.

How this will be handled, what actions will be taken, and what changes we will see...well let's keep an open mind and see what transpires.
Buddha is right tho, you have a voice and this is a forum to get it heard in, so everyone keep it coming, good an bad.

peace

Hmmm people always seem to get more fraustrated and pissed off in bad weather...trust me, I live in England!
I think the organisation thing is a minor issue, **** happens, I guess next time theyll make a backup of the schedual.
The main thing is the safety issue, but be real here. They couldnt really predict just how strong the winds were going to be, I guess next time theyll use bolts and screws instead of cellotape to construct the towers:D
Maybe event organisers should have some kind of maintenance team that goes around checking things are safe and running smoothly. I think the organisers got off pretty clean if you think about what could have happened............lawsuits, newspaper headlines like "People killed in unsafe war game" etc etc

And, if there was this kind of 'safety/maintenance team' in Dam...........guess who should be first on the sacking list!

The towers were hardly held together with 'cellotape'. The whole thing was well secured but somebody had failed to put on the outriggers which allowed the towers to tip. I'm not defending this as it should never have happened but anybody who was there would have to admit that the netting was secured to the towers and the fields were well netted.
One reason the games were delayed was that one set of marshals couldn't even be bothered to get off their chairs to put armbands on the players never mind ensuring that players entered and exited the field promptly. Now these are pro players were talking about and I'm damn sure that if they had been subjected to the sub standard reffing that they carried out they would have been less than happy.
As for other aspects that were mentioned:-
Toilets - there were free ones outside if you didn't want to pay
Reffing - on the majority of fields was excellent
Weather - only the big G can answer that one.

Finally thanks to all those on the Bus from hell. 15hrs to get to Amsterdam and we were still laughing by the end of it - now thats dedication.
:D

As for your points, if you feel the whole thing was so bad, why did you stay? Why did you stick around to play all 10 games? Surely if you feel that both the services offered, and the safety were so bad, you should have packed up, gone home, and demanded a refund! What you are doing now is eating the entire Big Mac, and then go back to the counter to complain about the taste. If you don't like your meal, don't eat it.
Just my opinion.

Hmm I did not only 10 but 16 games, and the games were fun. I didnt play the bunkers near the towers .. during the time they used to fall down .. (later on theyve got fixed as you know)

And I believe that youre going to eat the BicMac if youre sure, that if you dont youre going home very hungry cause theres no other food around.
And have you ever heard about a refund on a paintball tournament? I didnt. And it is too much trouble to go to court for a few hundred euros.. isnt it?

[!!!! I dont want to say that there IS no refund. I dont want to blame ANY organiser. Its just what I had in mind .. and if you dont know the organisers (like us) you might think like we did, or not? !!!!]

I would like you to explain the "weather/correct-time" issue to me.

I dont really understand that one ..

Joern,

It's fine if you want to keep voicing these opinions, but there's another thread for that now. Please see Orange's post earlier on about it.

Thanks.

PS I would not have eaten the BigMac if I didn't like the taste of it. I walked back to the counter to complain plenty of times, and not just at MacD's. I guess some people are just more assertive when it comes to these things.
