Bad Boy League would be a good idea or at least a collective site where all teams are registered and are given ratings.

I said this a while ago (somewhere) that we should all have an ID pass that is recognised throughout all the different leagues, a bit like a driving license, with players and teams being put into a database that can easily be updated after a tournament, or even during. This info could then be put into sections for the different leagues (large series') throughout the world with all points standings and behavioural ratings split into these sections for each team. This info can then be circulated to each registered team and judge (via e-mail) before large events giving everyone a good idea of how certain teams have been behaving.

It may be a bit too complex to do or it may not work but it's just a lil' idea of how we can focus on those with bad behaviour before events to prevent too much controversy during 'em.

Would rather not post it here as I give that account only to friends, teammates and certain business associates. Should you wish to do that I will happily reply to any and all queries. As to what goes on in the world of paintball all you gots to do is read a little bit, think a little bit, and...

Baca, once again, a carefully crafted email telling me nothing :-
Pray, tell me some tournaments you have attended and where do you guys come from in Florida ?
Also, email addresses mean nothing as anybody can use any of their friend’s addresses if they so wish as was done before on this board by somebody else not so long ago.
So, you have yet to convince me of anything at the moment but I will be pleased to be proved wrong on this one believe me :)

"I can't fully agree (or possibly understand) you, cos I'm struggling with the definition of 'cheat'. I think playing on will become the same as tripping up the centre forward: if the ref sees me, I'm booked; if he don't I'll give him another dig. Occupational hazard. And unpalatable as that may seem, I think it's inevitable. "

Thats damn straight and true! BUT!!! Can the sport let this issue slip by as it does now?? Damn NO!

How can this sport be "serious" how can we say "We need more attention" when things happen like that happened in Germany or Portugal?
How can you "sell" our sport to the "General Public" (tm) when rules gets changed mid tournament, the biggest idols being watched cheating by the whole spectator area.

But nowadays theese ppl get away with it, they simply remain in silence or just walk out from the field without giving attention to the controversy they caused.

This cannot continue **** should be put where **** belongs. Who can help?

Well... media! media! media!.

I think its not out of the usual if a jurnalist is neutral yet ruthlessly honest about what he/she seen..

Give **** where it belongs but do it objectively and based on truth.

I know Im speaking about Utopia but there has to be a start...

peace..

p.s: Im not saying that media does ****ty work but this is lackin..

If I'm so slippery and you're so suspicious couldn't I simply give you the "facts" on a completely legitimate local team regardless of my association with them as long as I knew something about them? What the hell does that prove? Sounds to me like you don't want to know.
Send me the email and I'll tell you well known players who can confirm my identity and I'll give you my phone number and if you're so damned convinced I'm not who I said I was you can give a call so I can tell you to piss off. (But of course they could all be in on some scam to pull the wool over old Pete's eyes and anybody can use a pal's phone, right?)

I do hope that you will reveal to us what you have found Robbo

Media and cheating...well reporting it as long as you have verifiable proof of it is something that news oriented types do... i see nothing wrong with that....whereas there does become a problem when it devolves into a national inquirer type "dog with three heads is born man says it cerberus" type of deal...it's the 5th estates responsibility to report on things that happen but not to lay blame (except in editorials i guess) for news that is happening.

on the issue of cheating and the definition thereof...you guys have gone thru it all ways from sunday and i think i'll just let that stand as is

Well gonna go pretend to work for a bit

see what you started Urbs?

Boy, a Pandora's box of a thread.

The only real point that I could agree too, (made all the way back on page 2 and I cant be arsed to get it).

:how do UK teams expect to do well when all they do is cheat at the smaller / local tournies to win....

(not word for word, but you get the point -apologies to the originator)

The best way to deal with this stuff, in my (most humble ) opinion, is give the judges strong backing. stand by the marshals. Everyone makes mistakes, and cheating / playing on is part of the game, like it or not.

Like Robbo says though, it IS a shame when players like La soya, or the RL are only mentioned when there is (implied) cheating or controversy? (Do you think the RL would have recieved so much web-space if thay had just plain won?).

But at the same time we all love our 'bad boyz' -Vinnie Jones, Tyson, etc. -they do have a habit of making it.....intresting......

just my pennies worth - no offence meant..... :D
