you both got good value points there
but i will side with Mak_Daddy at the moment
there are way to many tournements happening next year
correct me if im wrong but there will be 7 different series which is why i agree with Mak Daddy
yes i know they cover a wide range of the uk but how are they gonna fit all them in without stepping on someone elses toes which i think will happen
now teams will have to decide what they are gonna play and stick to it but again this could cause a problem of the less established tourneys not getting enough teams booked in therefor stopping the event and going out of businessthink all the organisers should get together and get 1 possibly 2 major leauges going as Mak Daddy says

otherwise its gonna be one expensive year for us ballers playing:)

just my thoughts:)

What the heck? Complain there are too many tournies? Never! I'm chuffed to bits, I just can't figure out if I need two bodies to play them all!

this could get confusing but here is my take...

The more competitions are run, the more competition there will be between the competitions, making each competition better because of the competition (you with me still?) :)

Like I say, I just wish there were more Sundays in a week...

I think next year will be a decider for Bullies, CPL and PA - (now think John Wayne) there aint room in this country for all three of you, so one of yers gotta go... ;)

As much as I hate to admit it, Mak D may have a point, why can't we have a couple of majors, Midland Masters, now running CPL and PA Cup. Move away from back street paintball venues and into the public eye, it's the only way forward. I do see your point on the town association thing, but, don't see the relevence in this thread?? I thought we were talking about bringing paintball into the mainstream, not how to get sponsorship.

I do agree Mak D does look across the pond a little too much, but, is it not the case that until the Super 7's, Europe was THE place to play quality venues and the USA modelled the S7's on this?

Said my bit, Iain, I like you mate, but back off on Mak D, he has a point on this one, let's get more teams involved and better venues for our sport.

Just my thoughts, I don't like twisting ankles and playing in fields, I want stadiums and sports venues, because we all call it a sport, so why can't we start presenting it like one?

Hi Ho Hi Ho it's back to work I go.....

I suppose it depends on what the teams are wanting because the two tournaments are offering very different things!!

There are not enough teams to go round!

There is the S2K4, PA League, Central 7's, Midland Masters, KOTH plus one off tourneys!

And that is just in the MIdlands!

Add in the SWPL, M25 (is this happening next year) and Millenium Series and you could have alot of poorly attended tourney's!:(

What is needed is for all paintballs top knobs to sit down and come up with one national tourny.

The top teams could play each other nationally while us peasants could play regionally (including the north) with a big national final.

It would take some organisation but I think it is what UK paintball needs.

People keep saying the same things about there being a huge need for one national tourney.

The PA league is trying to be THE NATIONAL TOURNEY !!

Why can't you see what they're trying to do?

It's not a midlands tourney - it's just based in the midlands so everyone can get to it. It's not just another series - it's offering so much more. The top teams are going to play it i'm sure - in the top divisions. The "peasants" - (roland's words not mine) - will be able to play too - why should lower division teams not get to play for prize money too? - they'll just be in a lower division.

If you want a national tourney then play the PA league - it's trying to be exactly that - and it will get better and the others will fall by the wayside.

This is the future for paintball. If there's not enough teams for the other series' then so be it. Make a choice.
