there is a simple answer to that sinner
You make it possible for them to join the UKPSF at point of sale. As long as they can produce a valid photo ID with proof of name and address. The shop can have the UKPSF application form there , take the money ( £5 I think ) and forward the whole thing , along with the marker details to the UKPSF. Simple.
The only problem is what age do you sell to ( minimum ) ?
You can go on most sites , and play , from 12 years old ( some can do lower ). I know we have tourny players at that age , but they have been 'brought up with the right knowledge'. Do you sell to any kid over 12? or do you make it a cut off at 16 , stopping knew younger ballers starting?
I suppose you could make it possible , if they had a parent and an existing member with them to be a guarantor. Its a tough call though. .
As for the industry loosing valuble custom. I dont think they will lose that much , and if the people they lose would not join the UKPSF and be registered , what have they got to hide? They might be the kind of people we should lose!!
Just my opinion , but I do think its time for registration. Do it our way first , rather than get it imposed on us. It looks better on us and our sport if we get off our arses and make good rules to prevent accidents.
If anyone is going to get this thing off the ground , and they need any help , Just ask , and if I can help , I will in any way I can.
