As players and members of teams, you have to take a long hard look at what you pay for and what you consequently get .... then maybe you might come to agree, there is something that's not quite right.

]
If that is true then why do the Millenium Series get mentioned in major league tournaments, you get precisely fck all customer service for the money at those events.

the millenium isn't a tourney its a monopoly, I agree though it's not value for money by any stretch of the imagination. Saying that I have never played the masters so cant comment on their product but having spectated and pitted for teams I can say waiting up to 2 hours between games and playing 5 games in a day doesnt sound like customer focused products to me.

Lovetone - they 'get mentioned in major league tournaments' because they are major league; that's the simple and honest answer mate; whether or not you feel they give good customer service or not is besides the point.

Their events are multi-national and attract more teams than any tournamentsover here in the UK and as such are correctly described as 'Major'.
If you feel they do not give you good customer service, then all you have to do is send an email to them outlining your personal problem with descriptions of what actually happened and why you feel aggrieved; I am sure they will seek to address it in one form or another especially as you have now highlighted your problem on here.

You can of course outline your grievance in another thread and we can all see what the problem is.

Nah I dont have any real greivances, but from reading into what you said above it seems you feel the Masters no longer present a good value proposition to UK players, or are otherwise driven by money, and this is not in balance with customer expectations (or your impression of what their expectations should be).

I find this a bit poignant with how blatantly the MS mistreat their customer base, yet there isnt any removal of content surroundng their series.

I have no axe to grind, and only minor interest makes me feel it would be worth hearing the real reason you have removed the UK Masters content.

As a disclaimer at present I no longer "compete" in the UK or European wide series because I dont feel they offer any VFM.
The only event I ever played that I felt was worth the cash was HB.

Also, just because the MS is a big event and attracts lots of players doesnt mean the organisers arent lazy disorganised and money grabbing. [citation needed]

You seem to read a lot into what I am writing Mr Lovetone and that's probably because you ain't too silly.

If a lack of value for money was the reason I decided not to host a forum for the Masters then I could maybe understand why you posed that question but it wasn't and thus renders your point academic mate.
There were other reasons brought into play that pre-empted my decision to cease that free service of promoting the Masters.

I have no axe to grind, and only minor interest makes me feel it would be worth hearing the real reason you have removed the UK Masters content.
Aha ...now we get to the nub of the problem ...... but unfortunately, I can't at the moment dance to the tune you play, maybe later Lovetone, maybe later.

Well, HB is certainly a cool event but you sure do have an event criterion that borders upon the exclusive if the only one you feel was worth your presence was HB.
I realise the Millennium isn't the cheapest game in town but I woulda thought one of those would have been worth the 'experience'.

Also, just because the MS is a big event and attracts lots of players doesnt mean the organisers arent lazy disorganised and money grabbing. [citation needed]
No it doesn't but they are not, leastwise as a package of all three anyway; in my mind, they do charge waaaaay too much for what you get and so in that sense I do agree, 'money grabbing' is a description I'd be inclined to use also.
But they are not lazy nor disorganised; I am sure things happen at their events that may well fall outside the 'ordered' description but sh!t happens everywhere and isn't an exclusive Millennium feature.

The Millennium do charge a lot but they also do give you that 'big event' atmosphere that is so attractive to ballers, and of course the opportunity to meet the Yanks and in some divisions, play against them, this doesn't happen over here unless the Millennium hit town.
And so perhaps that big event atmosphere explains the premium payment coz sure as sh!t Lovetone, those big events don't come cheap when you are trying to put one on ... ya wanna try it one day!

Interesting.

Erm HB was just cool cos it was different and lived up to the hype. No other event has really.
I played one millenium to realise it wasnt all its cracked up to be, and really was just too much for what you got (or didnt)
FWIW my team podiumed at the event and won cash prizes and I still felt this way. so go figure. Maybe im too hard to please. maybe i dont like the concept of metaphorical anal rape.

The thing that does annoy me about the MS is the constant whining about the bad parts, but people still turn up in droves.
I decided to do practice what I preach and vote with my feet, because sod spending cash time and travel (ie holiday time) on a sub par event that never delivers to expectations (even though I havent played many you might say I have no right to say this, but the evidence is in both the organisation pre-event threads and also the post-event feedback threads).
Id be a bit of a hypocrite if I started playing the MS now.

Also, for the people playing the masters all year, I havent done the maths but Id imagine if you added up all the costs you could nearly afford to play one US event, that would stay in memory much longer than any masters.

Coming back to your final point - sure putting on an event isnt a cheap exercise, but i'd hope after many attempts it could be done completely and professionally, then people might feel like even though its expensive, its worth it, and you know its 100%. At present its far from that, based on what I can gather. You say **** happens in all places, yeah, but how many times do people wanna be burned before they move on? Id use the analogy of a cheating gf, but of course there are many fold more fish in the sea than premium PB events, so that falls flat a bit, but thats the only reason I can see for this loyalty to money grabbing is because "there is no alternative".

Thanks for your time.

so attractive to ballers
The term "ballers" is used for basketball only. Please dont attempt to use it for any other sport to give it a fake identity to try and make it sound cool, im sorry but this just frustrates me.

thanks

Obviosly you feel good about life dont you, living on the internet using terms that dont belong to you, or paintball, to be honest if i heard someone say im going to "BALL" in real life i'd take it as basketball, if i knew they would mean paintball i would laugh at them. oh well i suppose internet sites dont have the same outcome as a real life conversation. nice talking to you for the first time, you sound like a lovely man.
nice banning you.
