Just out of curiosity, what happens to the players warned, banned, etc ? As there is no Player register like the US or Millennium has. What's to stop idiot players "disappearing" from a ban to appear on another team to just do the same again, and again, and again. Perhaps we need a proper player registration system for the sanctioned leagues to better police the players. Something to make players think before embarking on a tirade at a ref or swinging a punch, that they may get an official warning, temporary ban, or a permanent hangup their gear and take up fishing ban.

Bad mouthing, threatening ref's is absolutely not on. Anyone doing so should be given a nice long cooling off period from tournament play. If that thins the ranks a bit, so be it. We can do with out prima-donna moron's who act like drunk argumentative chav's on a field just because they perceive (rightly or wrongly) that a call hasn't gone their way. I won't stand for it with my guys. Disagreeing with a call is one thing but arguing everything and getting bolshy is a surefire way to ensuring you don't play with me again. Perhaps Captains/Managers need to be stricter with their players on that point across the board !!!

Sadly I didn't get to go this weekend as I was moving house. :(

I thought that this was a great event. Even though my team didnt do very well i still enjoyed it. The food was good the venue was good couldnt help the weather so its not worth complaining about it. The trade stands were good nothing to realy complain about, The reffs were doing there job and i personly think they did a good one so stop giving them a rough.

Just like to say thanks to all the guys that played for us on both days and a big thank you to Lips for their support.

Too right - Echo witch.

Less teams but everyone behaving better - surely thats a more attractive prospect to new players. Imagine a 14 year old pestering his parents to take him to watch the finals cos he's desperate to get into paintball and then they see that ****e. No way Hose.

Captains - be stronger. Everyone seems to want to blame someone else rather than look at their own shotcomings. Football managers are spineless for not dropping players who dive and cheat and paintball teams are the same for not dropping players who bitch at refs. Paintball should be more like rugby - a thugs game played by gentlemen.

I will take you seriously when you tell me of one tournament that has been held in the history of paintball that has not played host to inconsistent calls ....... name me one !!!

And if you cannot, then your post disintegrates into meaningless drivel....
Yes reffing is always complained about (and most often it is done by the losing team) but I fell the fact people who don’t often bother posting have felt it was worth noting says more than the complaints themselves.

I agree there are no events I can think of with perfect reffing but I don’t think that makes what I have said mindless drivel, surely you must agree the date itself was not ideal postponing till next summer was a suggestion that with hindsight may have benefited some of the teams.

I understand why this date was chosen and I also understand it would not be ideal to have the event mid season but being so close to campaign and conflicting with world cup is also not ideal.

I would like to say a massive thank you to karnage for pitting for us on the sunday on behalf of dxs entity, you guys saved us along with killjoy and the support was much appreciated.

I won't mention the refs much, it was inconsistent and has been all year, I know how hard reffing is and think they lacked the experiance and knowledge to make the more difficult calls. I don't blame shock for pulling out, if they don't think they are getting their moneys worth then it's up to them.

The event itself was organised superbly, food was great and cheap, everything ran smoothly despite the weather (much thanks to the reffs for that) and there was plenty of tradestands for the people who needed anything.

Robbo, for a person that is one of the faces of this 'change' in paintball your being unproffesional and childish refusing to see it from the players side. It would be beneficial to everyone If you just grew up. I know you don't care about what we have to say and you've made that obvious but like you I have to get my point out.

All in all apart from the reffs, a superb show and tournament, thanks to everyone.

I think if it had been cancelled then we would be having a totally different discussion. I believe we got a very good introductory event that was put on at short notice and due to some sterling hard work, the organisers succeeded in giving teams an event. Now is the time to discuss where we go from here and how we get there. Next year will be different and hopefully be a lot better for all concerned.

Did I miss something drastic about the refs? as they where just the normal standard from any other tourney with some good and bad calls and lets be honest everyone is human and makes mistakes!!!!! And thats to the refs and players!!!!

considering the whether a great tourney nothing really needed to change apart from us guys the teams need to show more support as there was a lack of teams....

cheers to everyone including the teams that where there as you all made my weekend

even if the team I played for SOF busted our asses off on sunday to get knocked out in the knockouts ......:D

I didn't manage to make it up to the event, as I am dying of some man/bird/swine flu hybrid.

I think what has been put on in a very small amount of time is applaudable, with nearly 40 teams in attendance, I know the date was a pain, but looking at the calender I dont think they had much choice. I think come next season when the major players have released their dates then it will be better attended.

As for Marshals given the amount of games/calls they have to make they are bound to make some mistakes, that is just a fact of life, I run an event and have been marshalling for over 20 years, so I know just how much of a pain marshalling can be, especially if the weather is bad.

I think people need to remember that this is the first step, the people organising and running this event have seldomly worked together the learning curve will be steep to say the least, this is the line in the sand, there is only up from here.

hi all
first off thanks to wendy and chris and all the staff, my kids really enjoyed themselfs, they did far better than they expected and went home on a real high, thanks to all the teams we played you also made the kids day, these boys will be back next year but they will be quicker and better so watch out;).

just a personal note to all the marshals
do your best, be fair, and call it as you see it, you cant do much more than that, its a thankless task on the hole but as some one said on here if you give respect you will get it in return, moaners are usually the losers, and i know we want to live in a perfect world but we dont, some times your gonna make a bum call, no one is perfect no matter who they are, or how long theyve been in the game
THANKS GUYS WE NEED YOU SO KEEP AT IT
