Well, he might, but it's off thread as the Fed has nothing to do with Campaign. If he does it again, he can take a holiday in the 20ft steel contanier listening to a CD full of "Barney the Dinosaur" songs at 120dbs.

This isn't a criticism of the Fed event, just not relevent on this thread.

Seems entirely relevent, on several levels, if people are unhappy with the mil series, then do something about it, dont go, turn up to a different legue. Everyone can complain on the internet, how many people complaining here will do something about it?

If everyone who griped about things in the mil series stopped going and went to another event instead it wouldn't be long before the guys who run mil series either take notice and do something to address the issue or face getting even worse off as time goes by.

Bon that's strike 2. The thread is about this year's Millennium event. And incase you didn't notice, the Fed Cup is a locked event and hardly relevent to teams from Moscow (whom won the CPL). I'm sure the teams traveling from further afield may have comments on their value perception and lack of pickled beetroot.

We had a BLAST! in Basildon, we went cheapass en slept in a tent, 50 meters from the event.
We had power , a bbq , beer and some other well known stuff from Amsterdam......:D
I’m serious , we really had a great time this event.
The prices for food were to high, and its al greasy.... The beer was ok.
The refs on the D2 field ****ed us over they didn’t pay any attention to the breakout of our opponents, 3 time's an early start and they didn’t see it once.... the headref ( Big guy ) told me he knew the problem but couldn’t no change anything about it.....
On the D1 field, it was much better and spl field very strict.

LOL oh they were that table ? I saw that when I left Sunday :D

As to what to do, Im trying to formulate a plan of attack. There's too much complaining and not enough doing. I was going to corner Barry Fuggle on Sunday and give him some direct customer feedback (nicely) but he was in meetings and I felt it would have been rude to interrupt. So at present Im thinking of writing a letter giving my opinion, and noting the opinions of everyone else, to each of the Board members directly. Hopefully this will get through to them.

So long as its done correctly its a positive and proactive response !! :)

I think Stongle's posts eloquently describe just why and how we ended up where we have, and his observations regrading not even knowing what we want to do in our sport, is perhaps the most poignant.

Missy also sums the position up in his usual cynical style and leaves nobody in any doubt as to just how ridiculous a position we are in.

What is undeniable, the MS has evolved as a monopoly and as such has had none of the normal pressures of business development other industries have to compete with.

It's a sad indictment of our players/teams/vendors that no effective representation has been created to lobby the MS and as such, the MS has had no real regulation or pressure to contend with other than those imposed upon itself ...... and that is a dangerous situation indeed.

But, I do know the guys who run the show very well, and whilst all of them like a few quid in their back pocket, I also know they wanna make their customers happy, it's just that they ain't too good when it comes to listening to people other than their own counsel.

If you feel you need to change this situation, then get up off yer ass and organize yerselves into an effective lobby.
This is the ONLY way you are gonna change things and if things stay the same, then you know who to blame .... or should do.

PS just had a thought, I think I know a group of guys who would do a fantastic job in representing you lot, the mods on this forum headed up by Jay (Buddha); I cannot think of a more eloquent, intelligent and experienced bunch of people than the mods I have on our forum.
Start with those guys and you won't go too far wron.
The last attempt at organizing yerselves failed miserably, just as i said it would do because of the people involved, you need to get the right people to do the right job.

PPS Oh and just one more thing, I know I am a mod on this site but my suggestion did NOT include me.

Robbo as I understand it this was tried a while back, and never happened, why, because players will sit and bitch and moan then do fk all to change it, they would rather attend badly run events then moan about it afterwards ...

Paintball in it's entirety is reactive rather than proactive...

Count me in if the Mod's need help Pete :)

Im still going to bang off a letter to Barry Fuggle directly though as well so he has something he can wave at the rest of the board to say "look our customers want changes and heres the proof !!" (Yeah I know Im living a dream to think it will affect anything but its something proactive at least) :)
