My 1.8 K went on Saturday, Ive ordered a new one from SlothBall, Do I just uscrew the current one and screw the new one in?

Or is it more technical than that?

I want to avoid sending it off or taking it anywhere as I dont know any air smiths etc...

I think my only easy-ish option is to take it to a shop that sells diving gear thats near me, and see if they can get it tested earlier than its end date in October?

Any suggestions guys

Thanks

The burst disc is part of the regulator not the bottle so it doesn't get tested.

You could really do with knowing why it went as it may just blow again if its a problem with your reg and not just a faulty disc.

burst disc goes if the reg gets over pressurized
you may have over filled it, or something inside the reg may have broken giving a larger output pressure (spring?)

Right ok thanks mate,

So what am I lookin at?

Do I have to take it apart, how will I know if parts are broke

Do you know of anywhere I could take / send it to get it sorted?

When it popped it sprayed all the air out, so considering its empty would I be ok to take it apart....

nope, got it from the forums mate!

Its an SCI tank with a Crossfire Reg
I had the exact same problem with my crossfire reg awhile back blowing LP burst disks.
Its not meant to be user servicable (From what crossfire say) you either have to return it to crossfire in the states or find someone in the uk prepared to fix it for you.

Yeah man I replied in your thread aswell!

Have you managed to sort it out, or are you still stuck?

What have you done?

No i just took it of and scrapped it,couldn't find anybody in the uk to be able to fix it.You need a special tool to remove the chrome top collar section from the lower part from what i heard on PBN
You could ask at various shops see if they can help you out.
