Hmmm damn :(

I will replace the 1.8 K when the new one arrives and see what happens,

Then I will take it to my local dive shop soon and see if I can get the whole thing tested earlier than its October end date, see if it passes its test. Then I can think about a replacement reg, whereas if the bottle fails ill need a whole new system, so theres no point worrying about the reg until I know where I stand!

Thanks for the help guys!

Yeah I will look into Regs etc, but as I said I could pay out for a new reg, then find my bottle fails its test so I have to buy a new one anyways, so ill just wait untill I get it tested, probs next month now, funds allowing!

Any suggestions on new bottles guys? Anyone the Dye Throttle? or where can I get another SCI, ive been on the website but it only has information, I couldnt see anywhere to buy a bottle! It may be worth getting a new bottle as then it will have full test etc so I dont have to worry!

If your 1.8k went, that means your reg was probably leaking, so letting that 1.8k out of your burst disk is better than letting it into your marker. Your plan of action sounds good: if the bottle fails, no issue, if it passes, think about getting your reg serviced or replaced.

ok cool!

It was a bit weird cos I filled the tank and i was packing up, it was in my bag a good 5 mins then all of a sudden it started goin mental sprayin all the air out, so it wasnt attached to my marker. Any ideas?

Ive got an 09 Proto SLG UL so id hope the DYE Throttle would work well with it being the same company? Well see in a month or two though when its all tested etc!

Thanks for your suggestions fellas!!

Unless you can find a crossfire service agent in the uk,not even sure who imports them in to the uk tbh and i think you would need a specific tool to split the reg apart

If you look on the bonnet section (chrome top part of the reg) there is a small hole drilled through it,i presume thats for the special removal tool to grip it with when stripping the reg apart.
