In terms of safety etc, its probs best if I just get a whole new tank etc. I wouldnt want to have a go fixing it myself and something going wrong like it blowing up or something silly.

The money its gonna cost me getting this one tested etc + a potential new reg, I might aswell just get a whole new brand new set up an rock happy with that for another few years!

Any suggestions? Only Dye Throttle comes to mind tbh.

hmm sorted, looks like ill be onto Lips again next month! :D

What should I do with this air tank then?

In terms of disposing of it, no point trying to sell it with it running out of test, and being potentially dodgy?

Can you simply "throw" them away or do I need to take it somewhere?

Thanks

There isn't technically anything wrong with your tank, its just close to being out of test, you could have it retested and then sell it on or keep it and use it as a back up.
There should be no reason why it will fail its test unless it has visual damage to it.

As for the reg, just sling it in to a cupboard, you never know you might end up finding somewhere that might be able to fix it in the future

Very good point Mike! Dunno why my immediate reaction was to get rid lol

Ill get it re-tested in Oct when its up, then look into a new reg for it around that time!
(Any ideas on regs, I havent found any on the web yet?)

Until then bring on the Throttle :D

Do you want me to take a look at the reg for you? It may just be dirty (remember our little chat about nipple covers?). I did notice that you have the LP version as well - Dye Throttle systems are HP. I don't know what the SLG is supposed to run on - so maybe someone can chirp in here and advise a bit better.

If you do go for a throttle, don't go 2nd hand unless it's a version 2. I made that mistake - and now I have to send it off to Dye to get it 'serviced' (it's a version 1). It's going to cost me more in postage than to get it done (Dye are good and cheap).
