The only expectation I have of you Robbo is to be mindful of your position and the potential it holds when posting on here (even though its your forum). I don't expect you to change, although as the chairman, I expect you to display and direct your personality and qualities in the correct way.

This forum may end up as THE OFFICIAL UK PAINTBALL FORUM / SITE. The Federation may be the governing and regulatory body for paintball in the UK. Lets get it off to a good start. Rise above the bait. Beat the haters by making the Federation what the detractors don't want it to be - a success. Don't give people ammo to judge you negatively.

Wise words indeed, I'll do my best to live up to them.

And just one more thing, this site will not be the official site of the federation, we have plans to set up our own site completely seperate from this or any other interest.
This is now in the process of being done.

Some very true and respectful posts on this today.

But just like Buddha said Pete is and will do whatever he can to help UK paintball and if he did change then it would not be the same.

It comes down to all the board members to help get UK Paintball back on its feet and after looking at the members list today it looks very good to me.

Pete,

You know I have the utmost respect for you and your achievements (past and present) - but I am afraid that, on this occasion, I am tending to agree with Bam (just a little).

Wearing your 'Chairman' hat a minute - do you not think that alienating 'other' people within the industry (regardless of your personal standing) is detrimental to the Federation and it's goals?

I think we all know (those of us that have been around for a while) that if people pi$$ you off - then they aren't going to stay on here very long. But, I think that you are mixing your personal and political standings.

Surely, the aim of the Federation is to unite ALL people within the paintball industry (regardless of age, colour and creed) - not just the ones that don't upset it's Chairman?

I think this could well be one of the reasons that we rarely see Bully posting on forums etc.

Please don't take this as a personal attack - you know me better than that. This is a merely an observation. Hopefully I've invoked some thought processes .

Raff, sable's exclusion from the board had nothing to do with me mate; I ain't saying I wouldn't have tried to get him off there if he had been asked, but his exclusion had more to do with the fact he could bring nothing to the table.

And Raff, we have EVERYONE we need to do the job in hand mate, we lose nothing due to sable's exclusion, in fact we gain if truth be told.

PS In no way have u pi$$ed me off mate, not even close, and only those who have really crossed a line get shown the dead box.
There are many people on this forum who pi$$ me off and haven't been banned.

Fair enough Pete. Personally, I've never had any dealing with Mr Sables (or Mr Abbott ) - so I am not in a position to comment on either of them - so I won't!

That's the trouble with internet forums though - everything can be misconstrued and taken out of context (and usually is). Forgive me if I got the wrong end of the stick - so easy to do these days (must be something to do with me being a Granddad ).

Here's hoping we can all do as Jay suggested - and move along ('nothing to see here').

I'd be surprised if you did ... you might well have guessed the scumbag I am talking about but I don't think you would know the circumstances I'm referring to, well, if you did, I'd be mightily impressed .....

Mind you, all this cr@p beggars the question......if somebody calls you a scumbag thief on a public forum, you might think it'd be cause for a law suit of some kind, after all, we do live in an overly litigious world.

Seems to me though, it might be kinda hard to bring a successful lawsuit against somebody who is telling the truth ...... the person who's being accused of being a scumbag thief can of course lie to his back teeth in denial but that strategy can only go so far ..... sooner or later, people will reasonably ask, ' why don't you sue the person making the accusations'?
Problem with that is, if and when it goes to court, people ain't gonna commit perjury to save your thieving ass.
My heart bleeds for him ......
