We have spoken about my reason for piping up in this thread and as far as I was concerened it was sorted.

Also if you are refering to my more recent posts, do not take them as me having an attitude. If you knew me better you would know I have quite a sarcastic sence of humor.

Funny that ,I have what is apparently quite a 'sarcastic' sense of humor also (well my frog exaggerator say's so) and I don't get you ,however I do find you fundamentally disrespectful and a little annoying,so with that in mind please don't.....,actually, just, please don't.

My 'problem' is (as explained to you previously) is that you come off as someone who is trying to deliberately annoy whilst masking it as someone who isn't,If I'm wrong so be it you have my deepest apologies, but I'm rarely wrong...And so as you know ,it doesn't matter who your aiming your post at we can all read it.

However I suggest you read what your about to post before you hit the submit button ,unless you were looking to add 'naive' to your list of redeeming features.

Bunting, while you might think you are a smart ass, you ain't, if you think I was being 'understanding' in the more accepted sense, then you really are a dumb-ass.

And if you think you can use your perceived sense of 'cleverness' to drive a wedge between myself and my moderator (Dskize) then you really are a dumb-ass ...and getting dumber.

I don't like you ..... you are one of these people whose intellect nowhere near matches what they believe it to be and thus will always come across as an as$hole because of that disparity...sables is the same sort of animal.

Now whilst you may not be an associate of his (I don't even care now if you are) you sure do exhibit some similar attributes...and you will now exhibit one more....guess which one that is???

Robbo, Im not being funny, it's well outside my capabilities, but as the head of the new paintball federation that has been set up your not exactly inspiring me with confidence (via the postings on this forum) that you are going to actually bring paintball on at all.

Your post on the 1st page with regards to "until you have some kind of standing in this sport.....your opinion is not valid" or something along those lines is hardly the stuff to bring new people into the sport...............it just shows to me a 'clicky' old boys club attitude with people trying to blow smoke up each other to be welcome in?

I'm sure (or I hope I'm sure) that you realise there is a paintball community outside this forum, should they dare venture onto this particular forum and express an opinion or maybe say the wrong thing - they will be flamed alive and banned?

I'm well aware this is your forum - but you are giving me the impression you think paintball is YOUR sport?

Its just an oberservation from my limited time on this forum, and I'm hoping that over time I find this isnt the case.

A shot in the arm is something paintball desperately needs as at present its not really regulated or run to any proper standards. I've been banging on about this for ages to my teamamtes ,comparing it to my motor racing exploits. I just hope you give getting paintball into shape more attention than bickering on here?

Well, you are right in one thing, you ain't being funny..this is a serious matter ... and the thing I would ask, why on earth would you centre on this particular thing rather than not judge me on the [hopefully] many other virtues that might validate me for the position of chairman?
Think about this point very carefully before you answer lest you be accused of selective criticism borne out of some other motive .....

You know I have the utmost respect for you and your achievements (past and present) - but I am afraid that, on this occasion, I am tending to agree with Bam (just a little).

Wearing your 'Chairman' hat a minute - do you not think that alienating 'other' people within the industry (regardless of your personal standing) is detrimental to the Federation and it's goals?

I think we all know (those of us that have been around for a while) that if people pi$$ you off - then they aren't going to stay on here very long. But, I think that you are mixing your personal and political standings.

Surely, the aim of the Federation is to unite ALL people within the paintball industry (regardless of age, colour and creed) - not just the ones that don't upset it's Chairman?

I think this could well be one of the reasons that we rarely see Bully posting on forums etc.

Please don't take this as a personal attack - you know me better than that. This is a merely an observation. Hopefully I've invoked some thought processes .

Unfortunately, so far I can only judge on what I see here....

I've never met you, I've seen you once at the North vs South 2007 game, I'm not so heavily involved in paintballing that I know your full history. Although I appreciate you must have:

a) been successful in some aspect of paintball (probably an understatement)
b) popular and respected enough (hopefully for the correct reasons) to be voted chairperson for the newly founded federation.

I have no agenda, apart from, if you are the appointed figurehead that is going to drag paintballing in the UK into the 21st century - you must display impartiality and also rise above petty arguments and airing dirty linen in public.

Liken it to this. Max Mosley is the head of the FIA (goverining body of motorsport) - you must have seen the bashing he got for an alleged "nazi prostitute romp". Well you are effectively in a similar position (not a nazi romp). I dont see Max Mosley on any motorsport forums slagging off peoples spelling and telling everyone how their opinion isnt valid because "hes the boss". A time may come when you will be lobbying to save paintball from being banned - if the people making that decision came here and took a look at some of your posts........you get my point?

Im not saying you shouldn't be in the position you are. I'm saying if you accept a position of (potentially) that level of responsibility. Act it.

Im desperate for paintball to be improved, and have plenty of ideas that I would be happy to discuss (because at the moment paintball is dangerously unregulated at ALL levels - its probably safer being a punter?). Im hoping you actually take the reigns and DO IT!!!

Yes, Pete is a hothead at times. Yes, sometimes his response to some things might seem a little over the top. But know that the passion he displays in his posts is not even 1% of the passion he has for getting paintball back on its feet. That's (one of) the reason(s) he got the position he has. Having Pete on that spot is like having a pitbull guard your home. You can go away for an afternoon and know your house is safe. Sure, you might find a burglar with a missing leg, but hey...

Can we resume our regularly scheduled programming now?

Raff, Bam, I take on board what both of you have said and of course respect what you both have to say, but let me tell you something ... I will never change ......... now, if that compromises what I am doing for the chairmanship of the federation, then the answer is breathtakingly simple, I would resign in a heartbeat ...

I'm afraid you can't pick and choose what bits you want of me guys.......... if I changed my character for every Tom, Dick and Harry (no disrespect intended guys) who said they didn't agree with or dislike what I was doing (after I have categorically stated that what i am doing is NOT anything to do with the federation) then I just couldn't live with myself.

If people attack me, either by attempting to steal off by me like jeff abbott or by undermining me like sables, then I will go for them.

And if that means I go for those people who attack me on MY OWN site, a site that you guys happen to be guests of, and I am not making anybody read any particular thread, then so be it ... those same values/virtues/vices that got me into whatever position I am supposed to be in paintball, then these will be exactly the same values/virtues/vices that will be displayed upon these boards.

In expecting/asking me to live up to your expectations is tantamount to me pretending or lying or holding back as a consequence....... I am prepared to do none of those.

The choice for me is simple guys...
And if any of the board members voiced similar concerns then they have only got to let me know and I'm gone like a rat up a drainpipe.

I will of course always be mindful of my chairmanship and not wish to compromise it but I have to be the adjudicator on where that line is drawn, and that is non-negotiable ... if I can't be true to myself guys, how the fcuk can I be truthful to you lot ..end of !
