IM talkin about the NXL one, and this is what was passed on whilst watching the game there hun, power failure or something to the main board, and that was the ruling of the refs at the time, so whilst I may not know the technicalities behind them I saw what happened and thus am commenting on that. I also think the guy commentating may have been the same guy who presented on line in which case anyone watching online would have heard the same thing. I thought it was a load of BS personally, but that is what I am commenting upon.

Missy, would be kinda nice hearing from you in this thread and seeing what you think we could to do in terms of persuading the Millennium guys to listen..well they may listen but they ain't acting upon any of it.

As far as reffing is concerned, maybe somebody should force Ulrich to sit through a course for becoming an American football official.

You wouldn't believe the amount of rules and regulations these guys have to know, the book makes the Bible look like a flyer!

But the two main rules that the striped boys are always tought are:

1) COMMON SENSE SHOULD ALWAYS COME FIRST AND IF A TRANSGRESSION AGAINST THE RULES HAS NO EFFECT ON THE GAME, IGNORE IT.

And

2) THE GAME OFFICIALS MAY NEVER EVER EVER EVER HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME.

Simple really.

just the addition of these two would solve 90% of reffing grips and woes of players. just simple really

I thought Jay had missed one out but when I thought about it a bit more, he hadn't.

I woulda expected 'treating customers courteously' as a pre-requisite for any official and of course it is ...but in the case of American football, this is one rule that doesn't have to be written down ....and if you need that point expanding a little ...think of the outcome of someone like ul'dick von klinkerhoffen getting in the middle of some of those guys and adopting the same attitude as he has done many times with paintballers ..... it's worth pondering awhile if only to conjour up that exquisite imagery of his limbs being torn unceremoniously from his torso .....

This rule is so obvious it doesn't have to be written down in American Football .... but in paintball?
