Referring to newboys post. I believe that this blokes signature was pointed out BUT he actually cam on and said that it was a joke and deleted it from his Sig because some people took it the wrong way and before he was helping the PA that quote was classed as the norm. Can you not see the funny part of his signature.

On the other hand i do agree with dskize people acting the fool does give off a bad view and maybe i wouldn't use there "sponsor" they were sponsored by.

I personally haven't had this problem, maybe because i don't look that deep into things and maybe think oh he is sponsored by "X" and he is being a **** I'm going to refrain from buying there products. I try to utilise the UK shops and try and find the best place to buy from if i'm going to buy anything then i can determine my favourite shop and make up my own opinion's about them and not let over enthusiastic paintballers ruin the shops reputation when really they have nothing to do with the shop apart from they are another regular customer like me :)

p.s I'm going to read over so i don't sound like a KNOBBER ha-ha

As a sponsor certain things should be agreed with the people that you sponsor so they know what is acceptable etc..
I would suggest that unless it is for millions of pounds most sponsors will not have contracts but verbal agreements regarding what equipment is to be used and so forth.
It really needs to be addressed by both parties, common sense required too of course. At the end of the day sponsors are not there to rule your lives and if you feel you must say something do it. But be prepared for your deal to be pulled!

Ok,lets not make this a Mean Machine Vs Newboy thread.I know hes your captain but iam only making a point here.I knew you guys would jump on me;).As i said before, the original post has been deleted but as to him "saying it was a joke" erm,no he didnt. The actual statement was " Jimmy,I see your point about the signature and it has been removed".To me thats more of an acknowledgement that it was wrong, that a claim of it being a joke.

dskize never mentioned anything about sponsors, he said people associated with training sites and companies to to with them training sites, I wonder who he means

I would hope people judge companies/sites based on their own experience with the companies, not people on forums.

dskize never mentioned anything about sponsors,
A lot of members on here have sponsors and team Logo's in there signatures and avatars and I wonder if people really consider the implications of their actions when they decide they are too cool for school on these boards. It is quite genuinely costing your friends and providers cold hard ca$h.

No,
He did mention them quite clearly-hence my post too.

Read the first post again ..sponsors are mentioned quite heavily ,and quite frankly it works all ways, sponsors, supporters, friends, your behavior reflects on them all.

And as for what you hope ...

When you represent said company you are often peoples first experience of said company...which is my point.;)

Evo, that's not the point being made. What if you were sponsored by "brand X" and you continuously went online calling people c*nts and whatnot? Don't you think that brand X would then be badly represented?
i see now. yea good point. is this happening alot though? i havent seen much of it about.

Players are the Face of the Sponsors

I think that many players and mostly newer ones do not really realize that when you are X team from X field or sponsored by X company that you are the face of that field/company.

Be it on or off the paintball field, on a forum or even when your out in the general public. I don't think you see the likes of Pro players acting in that manor.

The way you act in general reflects the sport itself not to mention the people who are supporting you.

I wouldn't want anyone representing my brand/company going around ruining what reputation you had built.

For example wearing your Planet Eclipse clothes getting totally pissed and telling off the general public on your way to a pub or club. It just doesn't reflect on the company or sport well.

That's why you wear a shirt in Russian which no ones understands when in that situation.
