There have been several incidents over the past few weeks and months where certain individuals have been going out of their way to have a pop at mods and other members of this forum ,this generally takes the form of low brow humor which only they find funny and seems to be the in-thing at the local kindergarten this month,but...

It has kind of got me thinking as a lot of these individuals are connected with reputable and well known paintball sites and members on these boards.

For me personally it gives me second thoughts about using these places and there associated shops,I.E I don't.

A lot of members on here have sponsors and team Logo's in there signatures and avatars and I wonder if people really consider the implications of their actions when they decide they are too cool for school on these boards. It is quite genuinely costing your friends and providers cold hard ca$h.

Is it just me that decides with my wallet?

Do you guys care what goes on on here or does it not affect your decisions in 'real life'.

I don't think they consider it at all mate .I remember a post not so long ago. I cant quote, as the thread has now been deleted, but from what I can remember this is pretty much spot on.

The thread was about a new person helping to run the P. A.(who were obviously sponsored by a number of companies) Now this person choose to use the following sig

"But you stuff from L.I.P.S or f**K off, simple really :D"
"Shoot Draxus paint or your a ****"

It was pointed out to him by a P.A team manager and P.A sponsor that " such partisan signatures such as "buy your stuff from L.I.P.S or **** off, simple really" and "Shoot Draxus paint or your a ****"
are hardly likely to endear you or the P.A towards any past present or more importantly future industry sponsors"

Yes, he actually needed to have that pointed out to him.

I think that sums it up really.People just don't think of the impact those few words/logo at the bottom of their post really makes. They also dont tend to think before throwing their toys out of the pram on here.

Isn't it a ballers right to be given loads of free kit from their sponsors? Sponsors should be dancing for the joy at the prestige of representing their team.

i dont see it making any difference. i usually buy from companies who havent f**ked me about in the past and companies who are good enough to support the team i play for. i shoot their paint, shoot their markers and wear their logos. sponsors are different to having support from a company or individual and newboy, i know who you are reffering to and its a free country so people can say or tag their sigs with what they want. do you think planet eclipse would lose out if i was to say that i think their sh!t? i dont think that but it wouldnt make any difference to anyone if i did.

I can see Buddha's point however surely you should be following the rules and act responsibly sponsored or not !

If you are sponsored then i totally agree you need to represent the brand and not only that you are representing yourself as peope may deal with you in the future and nobody wants to deal with a T***.

Free speech does mean you can say what you want but it also means I am free to interpret whatever I want. I guess it comes down to asking, for example, does anyone really think Lips were impressed with that guys sig ???
Dskize is spot on, if you are sponsored in any way by a particular company then you are in some small way representing that company and therefore treat it with the respect it deserves

:)

i also understand that customer service plays a big part and also location if you get good service then you will go back again and again and putting a icon or something i think is ok however when you start to slate other brands or companies where you have had bad service or something i dont think it should put on public forums ??

and newboy, i know who you are reffering to and its a free country so people can say or tag their sigs with what they want.
Totally agree with you buddy.Do you understand where Iam coming from though? The sig was changed after the post was made and he did say he understood it didnt look good.My point was,he didnt even think about it.Would you have changed the sig if it had been you?

do you think planet eclipse would lose out if i was to say that i think their sh!t? i dont think that but it wouldnt make any difference to anyone if i did.
Would you have left that sig up then, when representing the P.A?An honest question mate.Iam not having a pop.
