Hi all,

Never been paintballing before but will be attending my first session in Canterbury this Saturday ...

Im very nevous but highly excited and have been eyeing up the merchandise for sale on various websites to purchase my own kit if I like my experience on Saturday ... Im sure its highly addictive ;)

Yes ive herd it hurts ... but has anyone actually taken one to the goolies ? If so I would imagine it would be most incapacitating ... OUCH !

Anyone got any hints and tips for a first timer ?

How much does it actually hurt ???

OMG I cant beleive how much im looking forward to this even though im sure its gonna hurt

You are going to have a BLAST. As for the pain, most people will tell you the same thing. There is a "sting" when you are shot, but its gone before you know it. You will be more annoyed that you have to leave the field than the pain.

As for a shot to the nuts, I believe there was some dude who had a rather painfull experiance. But that was a few years ago, someone could confirm. Wear baggy trousers and you will be fine.

And yeah, neck is a bitch. Had one to the back of the head once as well... stung.

Welcome to the wonderful world of paintball

they dont really hurt that much as your pumped with adrenaline apart from neck shots there bad boys and will sting for a while, ad one rite in voice box b4, not a pleasant one!

as for tips, if its woodsball your playin dont stay back and try to snipe them and waste all ur paint as it wont work!!

when you become serious being shot hurts your pride more than anything else, but seriously the adrenaline really acts like a layer of padding, half the time I only notice I've been shot when I've got a ref all over me. (sadly no female refs)

you will have an awsome time as long as you dont do something like face plant into a ditch like my mate did on one of his first woodsball outings, suffered a concusion..................but you'l be fine, happy balling!

One of them swelled to the size of a grapefruit and went deep purple...i swore i was going to loose it, but all ok now and i have a daughter to prove it

Anyone got any hints and tips for a first timer ?
Listen to the marshalls
Don't shoot the marshalls
Be nice to the marshalls
Make Tea for the marshalls
Take more money than you think you'll ever need
Book monday off work as you won't be able to walk

How much does it actually hurt ???
How much does pain hurt anyway?
Pain is just an illusion to identify the weak

OMG I cant beleive how much im looking forward to this even though im sure its gonna hurt
After 20 years or so of playing i still rate the most painful shot as being on the knuckles on a frosty morning:eek:
