no full auto or ramping in the uk - it's illegal
What does this mean ?

I assume it means no fully automatic pulling the trigger and let it rip until the trigger is released ?

As for " Ramping " I wont even guess, sounds like a sign installed at the Evel Knievel training camp ... :)

Ramping or 'rebound' mode is kinda like automatic on a machine gun:D
The only difference being that you must maintain a certain amount of trigger pulls per second to activate it. (Usually about 6 pulls per second to kick it in)

Once you achieve this rate of fire your gun will begin to 'ramp'. By that I mean it will jump from firing at the 6 balls a second that you are pulling the trigger to whatever the max rate of fire is set at. E.G 12 balls per second (bps). so if you are in 'ramp' mode on your gun and you can pull the trigger 6 times a second consistantly your gun will actually start mowing paintballs out at a higher rate of 12 balls per second. Did that make sense? (someone could probz explain it easier...I've been working all night lol).

Well now ive done it I can say its awsome !

The only down side to painballing is the muscles in my legs are killing me after all that running around ...

Took some nasty incoming fire though and have the battle marks to prove it ... three huge bruses on the front of my left leg, one on the front right and inner thigh, a corker on my top left arm and one in the right butt cheek !

Yeah it stings but what a rush !

I will definatly be taking up another session sometime in the near future but the wife has put a hold on me buying my own gear until ive had a few more rounds just to make sure I like it ... fair enough ... I loved it but I know where she's coming from as ive bought all the gear for other hobbies in the past and then lost interest ( Golf, Fishing, radio control planes / helicopters etc ) but other hobbies ive had in the past dont give you the excitement like this !

A few days to recover from my wounds and my hangover from the big beer and Tequila session last night then its time to round up the troops again for another go !

Great ! :D

Sell the golf clubs, fishing rods radio contolled gizmo's and buy yourself some shiny new paintball kit ;) :p

Nah, in all seriousness .. My best advice for you would be to get down to a local paintball shop and buy yourself a good (not cheap. More money = more comfortable and a better paintball experience) mask. A mask is the most important bit of kit you'll own and it's worth investing in a good set :). I'd recommend spending at least £40 .. the most popular are usually the JT line, Empire (e-vents), Dye invisions / I3's, V force Grillz and profilers etc. Getting yourself to a shop is better than buying online as you can pick it up and see if it actually feels comfortable.

Also, ask / find a local site that does *Walkons* they're pretty much bring your own gun day :p f you talk to the ste owner nicely im sure he'll let you rent out some gear and most of the players will let you have a go on their markers if you ask them (Most can't resist the ego boost of showing off their shiny's :p)

Hope it helps and welcome to paintball :)

Be prepared to always be skint and not bat an eyelid as you spend £50 on a pimp headband :p:D
