I'm pretty sure that disclaimers in the UK dont actually mean a lot as I'm sure (no doubt will tell me if I'm wrong) your not actually allowed so sign away your legal rights. Or something like that anyway someone can probably word it better.

Jon
That is correct it is used to reinforce the potential dangers involved, and maybe stop idiots making nuisance claims.
I know of a woodland site that got sued because the customer claimed they got a bite from a spider during a game while they was hiding behind a bunker.
And that really is true.

I think one of the main things that might p*ss people off is we did not choose if we wanted the cover. As cbreaux28 said Its basicaly pay 12.50 for the coverage or dont play. Pretty simple

ok ! so should we as player refuse to play non sanctioned events as our insurance wont be valid at there tourneys. if we as player are being told no pass no play. why are events allowed to continue without it
Well to be fair Mark the PA and the UK Masters are also not sanctioned events at the moment, but be assured they will be before our next events.
As players you can all put pressure on your Tournament of choice to meet the criteria and become a sanctioned event.

Very true Cnt shoot..

That is the way I see it. I enjoy playing the masters series so I figured 12.5 is a small enough price to pay. I will hopefully never need the cover its there for those events that it does cover. I do see your point as it should be a choice but then again it gives the leagues that little extra insurance. But as it seems its pay it or dont play!

I agree and understand what you are saying but you can still play unsanctioned events as there will be no requirement for you to have insurance.
But would you want to !
Look at it this way, if you go and play one event at the Millennium you would have to pay X pounds just for a card that is hardly ever checked.
These cards can be made multi purpose in future with the real benefit of some cover included.

But its money off playing in the woods (I think) I don't think you would get any off the touni's. At the end of the day my team plays the masters and we love wendy (She is a star) so I and the team will be paying but it would of been nice if we were asked what we thought first.

Well put

Well put cant shoot straight. My thoughts exaxctly. If given the choice I would have paid the 12 pounds anyway. First I have heard of them over here.
