Well I suppose someone would post it but if you think we are using this as an extra income stream you most defiantly don't know me or Wendy.
We would just put your entry fee up.......
What team do you play for again mmmmmmmm:)
Russ
Destiny NrG, says Pid NrG on shirt & play x ball UKM and ref for Wendy. why?

The error after you have paid has been reported to the web tech who will sort it soon.

I have had 4 memberships tonight so they are coming to me - cards usually take 10-14 days.

"if i'm buying insurance i want to know it's not just a businesses liabilty i'm paying for them, and not covering me"

The liability cover is not for the UKPSF we pay our own cover and it is considerably more than £12.50, the liability is for the player who pays the insurance. The site and the event organiser should have business liability cover as well so everyone has some form of cover.

Steve
Thank you Steve, just wanted to know what i'm buying

i may be mis-interpreting pid here but i dont think his beef is with you or wendy russ. i personally wouldnt say no to a schedule or some sort of dummy document to find out what im actually covered for. its cheap as chips for cover so i just wonder where that 5 mill comes from? this could possibly be an FAQ so ill ask it now.
i cant find the info i want on the ukpsf website, does anyone have more info on the actual coverage of this membership/insurance?
forgive me i was not born with intelligence.... neither were you so i dont know why your laughing! :D

Reapers Dogsbody.
Thanks for reading it correctly Manners, as already posted by Polly, i like to know what i'm buying. as with anything.

Manners,
Maybe he wasn't being sarcastic, but he implied we may be using this time to put our insurance costs onto you the players.
Just to make it very clear to everyone:
No organisers will save one brass penny we will still have to have ours in place, it is to give everyone some sort of basic cover in case the worst happens.
Russ
If i implied it i would have said it. simple as that. :)

The benefits (insurance cover) is part of a membership package which we have kept at cost so players will take advantage of the service - a more realistic cost would be £50 per year and that would increase the benefits. The reason the underwriters have given the 5M cover is due to the track record of the UKPSF site members as they see the sport as a very safe sport.

I will sort out the schedule in the next couple of days

Not everybody in the paintball scene know enough about the UKPSF and what it does and even less know about the insurance. The question was perfectly legitimate as is asking what you get when you take out any other form of insurance.
As a side note, this is a serious step forward for UK paintball in general, if other events follow suit.
As Lump says this is long overdue

ive sat and rea everything, ive had a drink and it took a while for everything to sink into place.

my first thought was why should i pay £12.50 to earn a wage shouldnt the event organisers insurance cover anything that should happen to me, especially if it is anything like my business insurance 10 mil staff liabilty cover, 5 mil public liabilty.

I then got thinking what happens if my equipment that i supply to ref fails, im liable, what happens if its not the tournament organisers fault that i get shot while stood off a field without a mask on etc etc.

i will be purchasing an insurance policy even though i do have my own personal liability cover as well. I will also be doing an air course int he very near future.

I would in my opinion make in madatory that all players wanting to play the ukm, pa, d7's, jcs cup( cant remember series name sorry) n quater, or anywhere else also have to hold an air pass. I would give a time limit of 3 months for this to come into effect.

This is just my opinion though

Eric,
I think the "we would just put up your entry fee" comment and the smiley face may have give away what I thought of the question.

As for the second part of your post, you are right, and it is something that should have been done a long time ago, perhaps this could be the silver lining on last weeks near disaster.

all the questions about what you are actually covered for are relevant and a schedule OR keyfacts document from the insurance company should provide that information.

who underwrights the cover?

what are you actually covered for?

look forward to reading a copy ;)
