My point was, if you already owned them in the UK then your not liable to pay import tax on them surely? As your not importing them only shipping them round the world for your personal use? You dont pay import tax when you move country with your own belongings?

Import tax is there for a reason the customs guy cant know if this is a sale or gift or rental or lending or whatever. And if its gonna be received by the sender himself, why not carry them along on the plane? :s

I said they owned the markers before sending them from one country to another and then back again? I know import tax is there for a reason but it doesn't apply to this situation. You really have gone off on a tangent here because i was talking about your own belongings that your moving home with, not buying in one country and sending it back home...
