Just explain what\where\why in regards to what you are going to use the markers for and why you shipped them instead of bringing them on a plan and it shouldn't be a problem at all :)
Remember to include your tracking number in the email.

Don't link them here though, people have posted way too much info about me

My point was, if you already owned them in the UK then your not liable to pay import tax on them surely? As your not importing them only shipping them round the world for your personal use? You dont pay import tax when you move country with your own belongings?

Like everyone is saying, get in contact with them and explain the situation...

I get your point, but the customs office is probably unaware of the fact that this isn't a sale or a gift. Henceforth they are demanding tax.

From what I gather reading the threadstarters post the markers have been shipped to Norway for use in ze boobcamp and after that they will be brought back home to the UK. That's not taxable and should be cleared up if the threadstarter emails the address I posted and explains everything.

To avoid this you should have filled out a pro-forma invoice, whoever dispatched your package should have informed you of this after you informed them of the fact that these marker were returning to the UK after a set timespan.

On the other hand, if it is a sale\gift there will be tax.
Wether or not the item has been taxed in another country doesn't matter, it's still the subject of Norwegian import tax. (Which wouldn't have been the case if we were in the EU.)

I've emailed that address and I also called them before to which a woman said:

'Anything coming into Norway is subject to import tax'

which I'm not teribly convinvced by since the woman I talked to yesterday said it was a certain section dealing with costs and they were only open today. Since I wasn't redirected I gave up and emailed them instead. Thanks for all the help though!!

If that was the case then everyone would be taxed on the contents of their suitcases when flying into Norway. This sounds like the usual "can't be bothered to listen or give usefull information" answer to your question. Get the name of the person you're speaking to and go over their heads if you feel you're not getting anywhere, and don't be afraid to upset them you've got a genuine reason for posting these items, and they are being posted back out, or returning with you to the uk.:)
