As always, we are raising the bar for tournament paintball and feel the following format changes will continue to make XBall more accessible to everyone. These changes will help lighten the load on teams with limited sponsorship allowing them to continue playing the best format in competitive paintball.
Division 1 XBall
Division 1 matches will consist of a race to 7 points run on a 15 minute clock. Teams will switch sides after every fourth game point scored. Rosters will be capped at a total of 17 people with a maximum of 12 players allowed. A limit of 2 professional players will be permitted on the roster.
Division 2 XBall

Division 3 XBall

This is something I've maintained about the tourny scene for years, it's lost a lot of the skill required to hit someone in favour of machine-gunning hundreds if not thousands of rounds a game in the vain hope of hitting something.I have said for a long time 8 -10 balls a second would make the game faster for movement. Instead of oh look I can fire **** loads of paint fast in your direction. Any muppet can hit something firing 15 balls a second by just slightly moving the gun from side to side or up and down. Purely down to the coverage of paint.
in all honesty, i think the majority of tourney players could out single ball most woodsballersThis is something I've maintained about the tourny scene for years, it's lost a lot of the skill required to hit someone in favour of machine-gunning hundreds if not thousands of rounds a game in the vain hope of hitting something.
completely agree. anyone can sit on the trigger mowing a field but it takes a skill to move up undetected and drill a teami would rather see a lower bps cap in place. 12bps or lower would be superb for the game, and would make the player the key ingredient again.
be interesting to see how many "pros" are as good without their firepower......
Funny that, i thought that forwards would more than wecome larger gaps in lanes, I would of thought it would definately make a difference...Infact i would go as far too say that it would make more of a difference for forwards than for backs...infact who is it the backs will be shooting at and keeping in with lanes ...oh yeh ...you.TBH the only players it will affect are the backs..... like I said I can bunker someone with one or twenty balls it dosn't matter, as long as they walk.
I think the people amongst us who are dedicated forwards will find that the amount of paint put out by them really dosn't matter that much and that a drop to 11bps would really make no difference to us.
