I have said for a long time 8 -10 balls a second would make the game faster for movement. Instead of oh look I can fire **** loads of paint fast in your direction. Any muppet can hit something firing 15 balls a second by just slightly moving the gun from side to side or up and down. Purely down to the coverage of paint.

do you actually care as long as the playing field is level? will you break out the e-cockers again?
I never gave mine up, even at a reliable 15bps........
I just knew i'd be fashionable again one day:cool:

Getting back to the question tho, personally i realise that it would all cost money to drop the rate of fire, so if they decide then it has to be a decision that stays put. We train/muck around in semi and it makes for bolder moves in a game, so to drop the cap to say 10, i feel would be a more playable game. i don't think cost is really an issue but the game has turned into a bit of a paintfest these days, with people just hosing down a bunker that may possibly have someone behind it.....but on the flip side: "if we drop to say a 10bps cap are people still gonna play the same way, just instead of unloading a hopper in 10seconds, a hopper would now last 15, so it's just a more sustained hosing down on a bunker"?

Uncapped Semi. Then the game is more towards skill, rather than equipment.
ever heard of Gun cheats?
Why do you think capped ramping was introduced in the first place?
Obviously you can prove that someone can/can't fire at 22bps in semi and that there is/is not a trick board in the gun?

In an honest world you'd be spot on:rolleyes:

just a point re the dropping of bps making the sport that little cheaper.

Isnt it just as likley that the paint companies will just bumpy up the price by that little extra to make up their lost revenue???

Surely your joking right:

Doesnt uncapped semi make equip even more relied on? Doesnt having a fair playing field in terms of bps mean that people can focus on other skills, that matter?

15 was put in for a reason was it not - You cant run through 15 balls a sec or something? So taking a step away from this means that the magic 15 didnt give the effect wanted on games in the first place. 12 would be interesting, I guess getting width would be easier etc

If paintball was cheaper wouldn't more people play more regular and more people take it up? so the revenue for paint sales would go up not down.

Sid thanks for the comment your so right ! I can only fire around two - three balls a second so no chance I hose jack **** down..... but hey I have them friendly things called trees to help my world !
