no, seriously, I have been using a .689 all year (until i dropped it on the kitchen floor! oops!) and then I went to a .685 !!
I don't use a .693 or higher unless it rains. I definitely notice the difference, it seems to put swing on the ball if it's too big.

I tend to drop a couple through the .691 insert and have found that it's usually one either side of that depending upon the brand. If they fall through I go down a size, anything more than the weight or another ball or two not being enough to push them through I go up a size.
I have never found that accuracy has been bad from having too BIG a barrel size. But obviously a too smaller barrell size will just mince your balls
I don't think I've ever used anything smaller than a .687 or larger than a .695
