Also this thread, and any other 'raffle' is in breach of the UK gambling commisions rules and regs, and really shouldn't if the law is being followed be allowed by the forums

I'm in but I must agree that the total amount amassed for this lottery far outweighs the value of the marker due to its residual price drop on the open market...per say(),if it's worth that amount then surely it will sell.
Perhaps fairly the price should reflect it's market value,even at £10 a ticket it's marked up..

Remove my name and I think all the others,I use a forum name as others do for some annominimity(sp?).
I have entered,why have you chosen to broadcast our names rather than out user names....I can see this going down the pan....cheers

Rider.. just one point though and please don’t take this the wrong way, second hand is second hand and expecting to get back what you have paid normally does not happen. I have had many full tricked out gats over the 15yrs i have played and have never got back all the money i have paid out.
You could always sell one of your fee sponsor guns... hehe.. not that i ever did that..

Not to annoy you...but I've bought and sold a few guns and I've never lost money.
Fair enough things second hand usually go for less, but it's supply and demand!
People can aim to make as much money from their personal items as they like.

I may end up getting a ticket.

I get the impression there are quite a few overly nervous / tetchy ppl on this forum.

I understand the legal argument. I understand ppl getting worried about their name being listed but understand ppls objection to having something slightly different from the norm and a 1 in 60 chance of owning a very nice gat.

May I suggest that those folk who dont believe in this type of thing for what ever reason dont visit this thread.

There are some of who are quite excited about the potential of picking up a bargain.

OK, so I feel a little responsible for stating this debate, sorry if I have upset or annoyed anyone, that’s not what I meant to do, as I said it just my opinion.
Rider… sorry if I have been the cause of anyone asking for a refund or if you have felt that I have slighted your character in anyway, I’m sure this is an upfront and honest thread.
I guess am just echoing Parksys comment about where this goes from here, Auctions are fine, you bid up to what you are prepared to pay and you either win or you don’t. Raffles could be open to abuse in the future, maybe if it was only a pound or two for a ticket I would feel less uncomfortable.
I just wouldn’t want the 2nd hand market to go down this route; maybe we should lobby EBAY to change their rules to let markers on the site?

Anyway, enough.. good luck everyone and I hope it works out for you Rider…. Even after all I have said I have to say I am still tempted to get a ticket myself!!
