the draw is going to be filmed and posted up, as it says in teh first post ....
please read before making accusations!
Sadly that does not make it in any way legal, or prove the fact it is not rigged (I'm not saying this is in any way rigged, just pointing it out).

Also this thread, and any other 'raffle' is in breach of the UK gambling commisions rules and regs, and really shouldn't if the law is being followed be allowed by the forums ;)

UK Gambling commision said:
Lotteries can only be run in support of good causes, not for private or commercial gain.

you're right Box - there is no way of knowing if that would happen.

if you like here's a list of all those who have ticket(s) - in actual fact i don't know any of them....

(names removed...)

..but then you only have my word for it.

and parksy - there is no actual gain. the money raised will be what was spent. i'll donate the extra couple of quid to the winners nominated charity...how's that sound?

I didnt mean to Pi** any off.

It is just as possible that this is completely legit and above board.

Rider.. just one point though and please don’t take this the wrong way, second hand is second hand and expecting to get back what you have paid normally does not happen. I have had many full tricked out gats over the 15yrs i have played and have never got back all the money i have paid out.
You could always sell one of your fee sponsor guns... hehe.. not that i ever did that..

anyway i guess what i am hoping is that this raffle thing doesn’t catch on, if i want a great marker then i am happy to pay what its worth and make sure that i get it, and not have to keep laying out £10-20 a time and have nothing to show for it.. Sorry just my opinion

It doesn't bother me at all mate. I was just pointing out that instead of people being defensive about the legitamacy of your raffle etc that it is fundamentally illegal. Money raised to get back what you paid does not constitute no gain sadly.

I'm not having a go at you per say, but all I can see happening is these becoming a more and more frequent event, and at some point someone will inevitably rip someone off and all hell will break loose as per usual :)

The events of which would most probably land on the moderators/owners of this forum for allowing something illegal to be carried out on there site.

Someone getting ripped off in a private classified is somewhat different to this.

Again not having a go at you about it, who I have no doubt are legit :), just forseeing future issues.

If you want to part with cash with a 1 in 60 chance of getting something you really want then thats fine. Me? well i'll just stick to making sure i get what i want and pay what its worth. Just think what it would be like if all 2nd hand stuff was raffle.. how much would you have to spend b4 you finaly got what you wanted..

I have entered, why have you chosen to broadcast our names rather than out user names....I can see this going down the pan....cheers
