wow...........that's really offensive, what the hell do you mean by that? Is this (for some of you) the we hate Pure Rush/Warren Thread or what. Ok I will explain the reasoning behind the £5 admission.
Warren, it was a joke fella.
Maybe it came across wrong but it was purely a joke and in no way was i having a pop at you or purerush, so i apologize whole heartedly if i have offended you:(

I will state once again that the Euro5man "IS A GREAT EVENT", but the reason that i raised this thread was not to have a purerush bashing thread but to question whether people will willingly pay to get in to a paintball event or whether it will keep people away?

Now that you have explained yourself and your reasoning then it's a justifiable charge, after all what's a fiver these days? The problem being that although i'll come down, my wife won't, my mates won't, my family won't because they see paintball as most non-players do, and that is that it's boring to watch from a stadium seat? When the event was free, people did just show up for an hour to see it and then disappear again, which won't happen this year.

I do still have doubts about charging for "any" paintball event, but i do hope that you prove me wrong and that it all goes according to plan for you.

Once again my appologies to you Warren and i wish you all the best for the 2007 event.

No a fiver isn't a whole pile of money, but i still wouldn't pay it.
My Friends aren't into paintball (wiser people than I??)
My family certainly aren't into paintball. My brothers are, but only when playing.......
I can guarantee whatever food provisions there are will be silly money as well, drinks will be stupidly overpriced, so it isn't just paying in. It is buying the kids a burger, drink whatever. Then someone will be selling programmes........
Wrong, Wrong & Wrong again. There are no food provisions what so ever the stadium food prices are the same for all events & are actually very good value (We could like Milleniums & other events add food charges but we dont) Drinks will be normal prices & there is no programme (If there was it would be free)

There is parking which we could charge for but its FREE inside he stadium. Jes do you think we have turned into Wimbledon or something its just a fiver guys to add LOTS of spectator attractions to help get them & keep them there.....

Thee total income from this is £3500 if we sell out & the extra cost are below & we earn NOTHING on food as this is taken by the stadium.

Juggleing Inferno £1800
Marquee £4000
Gladiators £1000
Extra Staff £600
Scenario Match £1500

Total £8900

What a Rip off we are spend £9000 to recup £3000 to make the event much better & get accused of over charging. Please find me 1 event in the UK that offers this kind of family attractions with free entry & parking?

BAD TO THE BONE
Would i pay to watch Paintball? Probably not.
Would i pay to park at a stadium that is hosting paintball. Probably.

If the organiser is putting on an event and you get value for money be it as a paying player or a paying spectator. Then fair play to the organiser for having the foresight to provide the attractions.

If the organiser delivers there'll still be some that will find a £5ers worth of whingeing to be done, no matter what.
