I supose it depends also on how much you use your marker and what for(Pro tourney or recreational). If your after a high end marker with all the bells a whistles, you can't go far wrong for getting a second hand one off of here for a fair price, Upped and ready to go;)

with a lower value stated on the package and sent as a gift =P so no taxes 4 me lol.
Chris
That dont mean **** mate. You can even ask them to put it in Christmas wrapping paper but if Mr Customs man thinks its worth more you will get hit with taxes. Been there and done it! Anyway do you think the customs guys havent had that tried before?
Also you do realise IF the package did get lost in transit you will only be able to claim what the made up value would be. So if you have it marked for under $170 dollars (as I think thats the tax limit) and it goes missing, you will only get $170 back.
Then it will be us LOLing you :)
Good luck with it mate but I think you are taking a risk

a quick look in the classifieds i have found 3 dm7's for £450, so with postage thats cheaper than the us, plus no risk of getting stung by customs and you have the extra 2.5% paypal conversion fee to deal with.

chances are that cash is going to help a team next season, or maybe pay for some new shineys for next season

if customs discover any false infomation on the customs form you are liable and can be prosecuted :/ also unfortunatly due to the nature of whats in you package customs may well check it out, tho hopefully you get it no probs :p

i mean im all for bringing stuff in from the states....if it isnt available over here, ive got some mods coming over, but the are made by one guy not a company

I don't want to burst your bubble matey but the US eBay is also not allowed to trade markers to the UK, although I got a custom colour Autococker of there this time last year....Could had got pulled and lost my dosh:(
Think you will find that once you press the button to buy EBay WONT allow you to complete the transaction UNLESS the seller has specified in his postage instructions that he will ship to the UK. Then he wont be able to do that as like Nobby said, they are not allowed to sell to the UK.
You could try emailinghim direct and buying but then you have no comeback if your item goes missing.
Its easy this buying from the States isnt it??? :p
